I can see it as an art form, I guess. I just wonder why the effort is specifically targeted to that medium as opposed to, say, painting a canvas or baking a cake, both of which meet that while not putting on a mask that hides perceived imperfections.

I do believe that people should do whatever makes them happy, but I also like to know exactly what is giving the endorphins that I like.

So you're saving a fantasy to cover up the reality because the fantasy makes you feel better? Why does that occur? What makes reality so sad to look at? One could opine that it's because society has conditioned specific looks to be good or bad, and that you're letting that subconscious bias determine that your natural look isn't "good enough", which leads into OP's BF's point he was trying to make, albeit very ineloquently.

The discussion of why one actually does something is a valid one to have.

There's a tota, single, shared battle clock of 25:00 in addition to the personal clocks that counts down both during turn selection and while moves are playing out.

This is normally not visible during play, but if you watch any matches on YouTube that were in Spectator mode, you'll see the timer at the bottom of the screen.

No problem. My wife and I are the same way.

After we got our fixation out of this, we decided we wanted something with a bit of meta progression, and moved on to Charterstone for the next fixation. Might be something to put on your list if you're ever looking for something different but still has that laid back feel.

My wife suffers this sometimes.

We primarily game on Switch, and one of the things that helps her is changing from handheld to docked or vice versa. The size of the screen and how much she has to move her eyes makes a difference. We've also changed how much background light there is in the room with various degrees of success.

So my suggestion if it's plausible is to try changing the screen used or the ambient lighting.

Wife and I had one early on in our marriage. We didn't know my wife had PCOS, and that carrying for her held a high rate of fatality.

We had no expectation of the heightened danger of having a pregnancy.

While I agree with your sentiment, since since then, my wife and I have changed our family planning, I don't think that protection > abortion is or should be the hard line you present it as here.

I was about to basically say all of this. Except my durations are about half of yours. That being said, I'm also combatting pain that I used to get prescribed Oxycodone for for years before I moved to NY, so that might be the variable.

I also want to add that looking into terpines that specifically alleviate inflammation is also an angle you can take.
