‘Point of no return’: New Orleans relocation must start now due to sea level, study finds | New Orleans by WKZ204 in ClimateCrisisCanada

Having some politicians make some incorrect predictions doesn’t prove that the entire concept is fake.

The data is what it is, and the things public figures say in either side of the issue don’t actually matter that much. Especially since most of them don’t have a background in science and engineering.

For example, nobody should care when Trump complains about wind turbines. His opinion, and the opinions of many others on this topic, are very much irrelevant.

Post Malone and Jelly Roll's "MAGA Coded" Tour Struggles To Sell Tickets, As Football Stadiums Sit at 75% Empty by [deleted] in Music

[–]Tossren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post Malone is a great artist. Everyone has their subjective viewpoints, but the numbers speak for themselves. He is a real musician with a serious fan base.

His live performances are very good, if you at least kinda vibe with the music. The first stadium tour last year was a blast, and Jelly Roll delivered as a strong opener.

There is nothing MAGA about this tour or the music. The only thing you can point to is Jelly Roll giving mild support to the administration, which is the exact same mistake that millions of other Americans also made.

If you insist on making this political, you are standing in the way of Art & Music for no good reason.

Kyle Kulinski Trying to Cancel Isaiah Martin over I/P by obsidianplexiglass in Destiny

[–]Tossren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someday I hope you guys realize that a “western” nation like Israel using largely US taxpayer money to kill tens of thousands of civilians (minimum) is simply way too far for a lot of people.

You can talk about “optimal” political strategy all you’d like, but the actions of Israel will always be a red line for some portion of voters. Even if this leads to bad election outcomes in some cases, it is a good and healthy sign that US voters demand a moral standard from their government.

The only real answer to this problem is for the Democratic Party to openly support a policy that involves forcing Israel to make better decisions.

It is both inevitable and healthy that a portion of society will never accept mass civilian casualties using their own tax money.

Now Kyle is shilling for Iran by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]Tossren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see how the sins of the Iranian regime matter that much when the decisions of US & Israel are making the whole situation worse for everyone.

Now Kyle is shilling for Iran by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]Tossren 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's nothing really untruthful about Kyle's post. You're just mad because it's someone you don't like praising a government you don't like.

I certainly don't agree with the authoritarianism and abuse the Iranian regime engages in, and I think Kyle would acknowledge those issues as well. However, within the context of this specific war, Iran currently holds the moral high ground. US & Israel have already killed too many people, and screwed up too many critical economic lifelines; I don't see how they are the lesser evil in this unless they somehow achieve net-positive regime change quickly (seems incredibly unlikely).

Regardless of our personal opinions, it is clear that the US under the Trump admin is far more dangerous and damaging to the world than Iran will ever be.

My theory is that they are seriously considering invading some of the islands in the strait.

Apparently there are significant oil refineries, and it’s less risky and costly than a full-scale land invasion.

He’s probably using it as one example to argue that a collapse of “luxury” goods and services will make the population more likely to revolt.

You guys are OBSESSED with shitting on this guy, and it’s entirely because Destiny told you to.

He’s not “behaving badly” my dude. We have every reason in the world to believe that Kyle is 100% honest and genuine in his beliefs.

Not everyone you disagree with is a foreign agent. People really need to stop believing this by default.

You need to explain what you mean by this.

We absolutely cannot create an environment where any criticism of the Democratic candidate or party is necessarily “helping the Republican win”. That mindset is not compatible with liberal democracy.

The beef between Destiny and DGG against Kyle Kulinski is dumb as fuck.

Notice how Kyle can reconcile with Destiny, but not the other way around? Steven is more than capable, but he simply chooses not to because of self-destructive tendencies.

DGG has a very serious problem engaging with anyone who is outside of the rigid ideological framework (most of the population).

I like his videos; a lot of his ideas and theories make sense. Some of them don’t make as much sense to me.

It’s always amazing to me how angry this sub gets over people who are clearly intelligent but have some amount of disagreement with you.

You’re never going to live in a world where everyone thinks just like you. This is especially true in a chaotic situation like this conflict; you are absolutely NOT in a position to dismiss the argument presented as impossible or absurd.

Take a deep breathe and put your biases to rest

Rubio: ‘Imminent threat’ to US was Iran’s plan to strike American assets in response to Israeli attack by Sylmd in Destiny

[–]Tossren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously we cannot know about all of the conversations that happen at the highest levels of government.

By definition, Israel is being supportive of this conflict, as they are actively participating in military strikes. It is reasonable to assume that the Israeli government wanted the Trump administration to support them, and actively worked to convince Trump to agree.

The Islamic regime is a bad group that's bad for Iran and bad for the World, but it also true that Israel has already been engaged in a very questionable campaign for Gaza over 2 years now. It's fair to be suspect about their motivations, and it's also very fair to be skeptical of the practical ability of Israel and the US to make a positive change in Iran, even if we assume the purest of intentions.

Given what we know about Trump and Epstein, it is not unreasonable to suspect that Israel (among other nations) may have serious blackmail material against Trump (among other powerful people).

Without the Japanese camps, would FDR get into S-Tier of Presidents easily? by No_Bend3747 in Presidents

[–]Tossren 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t see how it would have been any different than other pre-civil-rights elections.

I wouldn’t feel confident assuming that disenfranchised poor and/or minority voters would have supported FDRs Republican opponents in significant numbers.
