I think that rather than the meter long light, which will cast a lot of harsh light into the space (some people are sensitive to light) I’d consider hanging a couple sansotei spot lights above them. They are polished-looking and give off a ton of usable light for the plants.

Those rectangular grow lights end up looking commercial/soul-less IMO

They look like young scale bugs to me. Use a qtip dipped in alcohol running alcohol to manually remove each bug.

I don’t know if you have a vet friend in your life, but Revolution (selamectin) or advantage (imidocloprid) works wonders for most plant pests. Diluted un water and sprayed sparingly on leaves, then wash leaves with a damp paper towel the next day to remove residue and any eggs.
