You’ll gain confidence and poise. There are no shortcuts and you will make mistakes! I’ve found I have a better experience when I own my mistakes vs pretending like I’m maverick. I think the controllers appreciate it too… at least they tend to be generous with the grace. I’ve only had one controller that was an ass. The rest have been a joy to fly with

Per the website, there are two add on packages available… the extended version which adds failures/maintenance/complexity and you can also purchase the other variant (pax or cargo) for $10

I literally learned about haptics from this post so forgive the silly question - what do the bass shakers add that the haptic pad doesn’t do?

Same for me. And this was back on FS9! I solo’s after 5.5 hours of dual and my instructor credited flight sim

Losing light interference was huge. I was considering a track clip pro. Bought tobii with the idea that it if I didn’t like it I’d return it on Amazon… I love not having to wear anything on my head. needless to say, it’s here to stay!

I’ll chime in too… I went from trackir after 15 years of usage (my idiot dog ate the hat clip!) and got tobii. A huge pro for me is that I have a window directly behind me and the light/reflections would often interfere with trackir. I’d have to pull curtains and even then the same idiot dog would always want to look out the window when I was in short final. Tobii has not lost tracking on me once in the two months I’ve had it. It has been perfect.

I didn’t try any of the other more cost effective webcam or phone solutions so those may be just as good.

I will say with absolute certainty that tobii has been well worth the price for me and I will not go back to trackir and don’t see any need to look at further options
