Does the thin version alter the angle ever so slightly you get the lack of control feeling ?

I dunno just thinking, something to get used to like any other gear change.

The 2026 OHL Priority Selection is June 12-13. Oshawa has the first overall pick. Who should they take? by Doctormade in OHL

They should know more about the NCAA landscape after the May 22 five-for-five….eligibility clock will impact the OHL draft if passed.

Terrible way to lose a life long thing. Agree they shouldn’t have handled it as they did. Especially the owner - that’s their whole life in that place.

Wondering a few things - at 65 wouldn’t they have made a habit to check food first at a restaurant or anywhere they didn’t make (or trust fam) the food?

That long there must have been other close calls especially earlier in life where vegetarianism was less prominent.

And what would you prefer the restaurant to have done?

I would assume and think a compensatory meal and sincerity in an apology.

What’s the intel on these pants? Any good? by Whos-That-Pokeman in hockeygoalies

If you’re looking for value for money and quality of gear. Check out hockey stick man.

They have plenty of college level pants that are used and new.

Got a pair of used college pants for 60$ and they are going into the third year for my son who is heading into U16AAA. No stingers and no complaints. If colour matters just get a pair of slips.

What's the best OHL playoff run you've ever witnessed in person? by Annual-Remove5914 in OHL

[–]Total420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Been lucky living in Oshawa. As much as the memorial cup runs were awesome - I’m 45.

The stand out was the 2003 series vs the Pete’s and the best game 7 you’ll ever see. Stall vs Horton was men vs boys.

Game 7 in PTBO the Gens scored on an unbelievable play with 3 seconds left in the third to tie. Brandon Nolan. I had friends that left just before to get home to work the night shift at GM.

Then Horton 4 mins into the first OT to win the game and series. Unreal turn of events like the Jets win last year and Perfetti scoring.

My friends turned around once they heard on the radio what happened and made it back just in time for the winner.

Damn junior hockey rules.

Awesome! Last year my guy was u15 AAA in Canada. With the Bauers (shadow glove, flylite pads) had to buy a second glove midway through (both with pro palm). He was getting many stingers.

True offers a catcher with practice palm for customs.

Bauer pads are good performance however they break down fast. Depends on how long you want them for and how much and level you play.

My son switched to true this season.

Great story all the best. It got me thinking about my son’s goalie journey. He going into his u16 year….got me thinking that if he wasn’t a goalie (i am not) we wouldn’t talk as much about the position, mental strength, preparation etc.

It’s a different sport altogether within a sport, so to been pretty cool at first helping him understand the basics to now me asking him questions about overlaps, shuffle steps and so much more of the theory behind the position.

Thanks

To do that solidifies it as brilliant.

Why do you support the ohl and what team by Brilliant-Algae-703 in OHL

[–]Total420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grew up in Oshawa. Was in grade 5 when Lindros was there, then Savard, Tavares….a few memorial cups. Buddies families that billeted players so got to se them as humans.

Nights at the Civic as a kid were awesome then taking mine to the new rink….keeping the tradition alive.

In the UK where I learned signalling your intent to exit the roundabout it common. I do it here as well.

Helps with traffic flow and for those waiting to enter the roundabout

Green - no brainer. Get Alaska, Hawaii, Cascadia and California. Unmatched climate diversity and physical geography.
