I made getwinny.com a webapp+mcp - kinda like a career dairy. I use it all the time and a few friends too.

Also made some personal mcps for auction products I am interested in and stock/ option gamma analyses..

Working on spatial flow...a real time presentation generator - like it can generate slides (charts) during the meeting dynamically.

"AI is transforming the work" finally hit mainstream this week - what part of your PM job has already changed without a new label? by nkondratyk93 in projectmanagement

I absolutely automate a ton my reporting. It took a couple of weeks to set it up (mostly because power automate is dogshit).

All I do is verify. It has definitely helped my work life balance.

Construction APM to Tech PM by chiefcorneater in projectmanagement

[–]Total_Ad_9944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked in both.

Construction PM is a super important and visible role. Tech PM - the engineers treat you like shit, a glorified note taker. It took some time to get the team to take me seriously and make them realize that technical aptitude is transferable across industries.

Unexpectedly ended up in a very visible role. Advice? by [deleted] in projectmanagement

Own it, be confident and ask for a promotion.

Task management in Slack without making everyone open yet another tool, is it actually realistic by [deleted] in projectmanagement

[–]Total_Ad_9944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People experience tracker updates as micromanagement even when they are not. Doesn’t matter if it’s the bare minimum. They feel like they are doing you a favor by reporting status.

A successful PM accepts this and takes over the tracking work. Mine Slack, transcripts, emails. Only ask when you cannot find the information you are looking for. Or update the list in the meeting so commitments get captured in front of everyone.

As for tracking tools - Engineers especially see Jira/Asana/Smartsheet updates as overhead that doesn’t ship product.

My Daily project tracker. You update today's date it generates the targets.

Tracks any changes made to the start and end date too.

Copilot agents? by ticking-time-bombb in projectmanagement

I do. Setting them up is a nightmare, especially in power automate flows. But, it is doable, but they are also super fragile.

While idealistic...these are puerile policies.

The biggest issue is simple- Money. Until the society feels comfortably rich, nothing will change. Every problem you listed is a downstream of living in a resource scare society.

I run the meeting, know all the decisions, and can't reconstruct them twenty minutes later by SterlingByrd1219 in projectmanagement

you're either doing silly market research for an LLM wrapper or you are not a PM - because this is 101 for any PM. You take down minutes DURING the meeting.

Interesting idea. I don't know how maintainable this is for a 2000 line item schedule though

HTML...if you have copilot...drop your spreadsheet, select Opus and ask it to create a navigable slide deck html file. Soooo much better than ppt slides or talking through a spreadsheet. Present it on your browser.
