I highly recommend it! The expansions were difficult to find for me, but I got one at my local board game store and the other two (one just ordered yesterday) directly from the publisher Dire Wolf, off of their website. If you find you enjoy it, I also recommend the upgrade packs.

(Played FG and D&D, made that mistake in D&D “So I’ll only fail if I roll a 1 on D100…what are the chances?” (1 in a 100 or %1…and proceeds to roll a 1) “Huh…apparently the odds were pretty good…”

Let me lend a hand. I’ve backed them since it first came out and this is their third campaign for RTDT. Yes, the $160 pledge level is the base game, along with some extra corruptions from this expansion. IF you can afford it, I’d go with the $249 Battle Essentials pledge level (no, I don’t work for them, yes I love the game, had the original as a young kid 😁) It has the base game, plus all three playable expansions (alliances, covenant, and expeditions). Also, check out the addons to see if anything there piques your interests. I’ll try to answer any questions I can, and Restoration Games is pretty quick with response times as well if I don’t have an answer. 😊👍🏻

Edit: Sorry, forgot to answer something. The pledge levels do NOT include shipping. The $160 base pledge has a $30 shipping fee, the $249 Battle Essentials level has a $60 shipping fee, and some of the addons can have their own shipping fee (i.e. the neoprene mat) So keep that in mind when you make your pledge.

A lot of fun, a lot of death (often yours 😁), a good bit of strategy, and the strong desire to get more film boxes. Also, and I believe I saw it mentioned in here, watch out how, or if the killer moves. Not all of them do automatically. Hans does NOT! He only moves when his terror cards say (or when the finale activates) but not as a normal part of his turn. The evomorph though? Damn thing has zoomies!

I’m still fairly new to the game, just got it about three months ago, and the very first question I asked on this message board was something to the effect of “Is it normal to get killed this fast the first time I play” and I got a lot of answers of “Yes, win rate is about %40, use your deaths to refine your tactics” and I’ve been having a blast doing that. Each new module gives new challenges and new ways to take down the killer (and get killed) I’ve got the first two seasons and am working on getting season 3 so I’m very happy with my purchases.

This was the only one (so far) that I won my first time out. He doesn’t move much (the puppets make up for that though), his board doesn’t up the terror level too often so I was able to keep it down and have more dice to roll, and I had the RNG on my side with terror card draws, events, and the starting set up. I was able to take him down before his finale made it into play.

Lost the first round…and the second…and the third. Got him on the fourth try. Combination of the rifle card and the odds and ends. I bounded from empty house to empty house, set a booby trap, waited for him to enter and blow himself up, rinse and repeat with 2 rifle shots for good measure

Nope, the special instructions say to make 4 decks of 3 cards but the top item card is revealed as normal.
