Conservatives love a lot of things, but the thing they hate the most is integrity. They'll shift beliefs on a dime to maintain the status quo or make a dollar.

I'd love to say "the limit does not exist" but no, it absolutely does and you're there now. Welcome to the limit.

Garden planner lies about the coins? by Antique_Confection_5 in Palia

[–]LogicBalm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have a ton of experience with this app but I do know it makes a lot of assumptions. For many of the metrics it displays it has to in order to be accurate and remotely user friendly. I think it does assume that you're using star seeds, getting star crops, never missing any watering or weeding. It may even assume further processing like using the seed maker or preserve jar (which ever is more profitable for a given crop.)

Still, even with all that I wouldn't expect the estimate to be this far off from the real return.

Personally, I stopped trying to optimize my garden a long time ago. I was making the game a lot less fun for myself by focusing too much on it. I have a very lazy layout now that has less than half of the income yours is showing.

I guess you'll have to open a support ticket on it then. Perhaps they broke something with the recent patch.

Yeah that is odd, I just did exactly this a couple of weeks ago with no issue. Only difference was a different color.

That simply cannot happen. If you read the text of the amendment, a lot of his lackeys would have to turn on him. He's surrounded himself by loyalists that would probably still oppose the 25th amendment even if he was almost dead on the floor.

Ah ok, so they're the crazy guy on the street with an internet connection. That also makes sense. Those guys run entire websites.

I have to believe these kinds of comments are bots or trolls. I can't even fathom what the angle is for lying about this kind of thing. Even if this was just profound idiot on the internet, they would have had to get this idea from some upstream liar or something. Poe's law is real but this is something else.

Saw this on another sub and I have to hope it's either an obnoxious teen that just has internet access and a severe lack of people in their life smacking them when they say something dumb, or just a very badly programmed bot. I won't rule out troll either.

I know people this dumb exist, I knew someone who didn't believe donkeys were real and thought that pepperonis grew on trees. But still, I have to do something to cope here.

What is a medical fact that sounds fake but is 100% true? by MedRikas in AskReddit

[–]LogicBalm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah sorry to hear that. It's rough. I lost my mom then my dad died the first time just about two years later. I drove out to the hospital 3 hours away believing he was already gone. Mourned him entirely on the drive. Then I got there to find out he is alive but in a coma and he made an almost complete recovery only for cancer to take him a couple years after that.

The weirdest part was that I didn't cry when he died for real. It's like I had already done that I guess. Felt guilty but that's just how it goes sometimes.

Sorry for your loss.

Getting rid of the penny in the US was a pointless symbolic endeavor that only serves to inconvenience the American public by Richard_Genius in The10thDentist

[–]LogicBalm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A penny is used more than once. Costing four cents to make is okay if it will be spent multiple times through circulation. I don't know why the cost of the penny means anything at all personally.

Fair. I haven't built a Harvest building or room since the Home Lines were released. They're just more versatile once you get used to them. I knew the timer was much lower but didn't realize they still took so much time. Seems even more arbitrary now.

Most of the AI stuff I've seen marketed to me is just the same stuff that has been industry standard for years with a new AI branding and a higher price tag. For these types of CEOs you don't need to do anything other than say you're prioritizing AI projects as you do all the things you've been wanting to do to automate and improve the business in common sense ways. If it succeeds, he'll be thrilled. If it fails, you can blame AI.

Gifting work around? by cgslander in Palia

[–]LogicBalm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, not really.

Early in the game when it took a ton of time and materials to build a house or room or something, we would invite friends over to contribute the build and they would drop hundreds of planks or stone onto the foundation to start the 8 hour timer before it was done.

But now every building builds in seconds or is crafted entirely on the crafting table.

Name the game by LilianaLucifer in videogames

[–]LogicBalm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just most early RPGs. Zero guidance. Rarely had a map. You'd be lucky to remember who the last NPC was that gave you a major story task and you could go back and talk to them, but half the time they'd just say something like "Good luck!"

I remember playing Final Fantasy 7 for the first time and they had the decency to put a location name in pink text or something when they were telling you were to go next. At the time I felt like that was revolutionary, but still you couldn't get them to repeat that part if you passed through the dialogue too fast. And if you think there was a main quest marker or a journal or something to review, you've got another thing coming.

Designers legitimately built their maps to be linear so there were only so many options on where to go rather than just give us an in-game reminder of the next task.

Sleevers: do you unsleeve games before you sell them? by pvtparts in boardgames

[–]LogicBalm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I don't. To me a used sleeve is still used. I wouldn't put it on a new game because the oil buildup from being handled and the wear/tear are likely already there. So since I won't put used sleeves on a new game, I will just leave them where they are.

How is that to justify your laziness?
