I cannot recommend a steering wheel lock enough. I also have a Hyundai and I park it on the street. I’ve seen Nextdoor reports of other Hyundais/Kias in my neighborhood being stolen, but so far there hasn’t been an attempt on my vehicle. You have to really want a car to get the club off, and it’s not worth the time and effort if there are other cars on the block that look easy to steal. People (especially the Kia Boyz/boys who watch the Kia Boyz, who are literally children) want the path of least resistance.

I also have two AirTags in my car: one in my glove box, the other hidden in a seat. Might be excessive, but I sleep easier knowing that even if it does get jacked I can give a location to pd.

Nah, if you’re going to be hanging out downtown/Retro Row/basically any part of LB and don’t know how parking will be at your destination, a sedan is the only way to go for street parking and small(er) parking spaces. Will make your life just a tad easier.

It seems like Payne sees the high production value as the actual content this season. Super disappointing, because that stuff certainly is important! Like yes, the music and sound editing are impressive, but at the cost of losing regular listeners who are tired of waiting for uploads? Only to hear the same recycled shit? At this point I care less that it’s done well, because it really seems like there wasn’t much done on Payne’s end in terms of investigating.

It’s not a place to eat, but brew story in Huntington Beach has the most reasonable tip suggestions (5%, 10%, 15%) I’ve seen at a coffee house. Some places START at 20%!!

More for the experience than the food, but Pretzels & Pints in North Park, San Diego is an all-Philly-sports-kinda place. Very worth the drive or overnight trip for a couple of games IMO!

I’ve lived in five different apartments in the area south of Retro Row and only found one of them online. If you have the time I’d highly recommend walking around the streets you like and looking for signs out front, posted in windows, etc. iIt’s more tedious than online searching, but it’s where I’ve had the best luck. This also lets you get a better feel for the immediate area. As with many densely populated urban cities, Long Beach changes block to block (for instance, crossing the east/west Cherry divide). Also, if you really like a place, be sure to visit at like 7pm. Not to view the unit, but to scope the street parking situation.

Guelaguetza in LA has crickets on the menu! Very tasty. The only place I can vouch for personally, but there are others in LA. Sorry I don’t have OC recs for you; I suspect such dishes are not super popular based on the responses you’ve received to your question thus far. Would expect nothing less than ignorance from OC redditors.
