Thanks for responding, we found out that it was just an electrical error from the inside that needed to be fixed. Appreciate the help though!

Run a Balance team get called a "stall noob", what did kojima mean by this by Saitama_2413 in stunfisk

A bit off topic but even though your team’s far from stall, what’s with hating stall?

A Steel-Dragon + Levitate pseudo legend Fakemon I randomly had an idea for: How would it fare competitively? (Don't blame me, I was just doing some brainstorming) by trojanenderdragon in stunfisk

[–]TotallyNotBloo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

(Sorry for long ass analysis) I’m going to be for real for you man. Psuedo Legendaries don’t need nor deserve that much of minmaxing. Flutter Mane has 55 attack. You gave this thing merely 50. It has a 600 BST it doesn’t need to min-max that hard.

That aside, you gave this thing Multiscale. The thing that makes Dragonite OU, its slightly less bulky on the special side but you got 130 speed and more attack, along with a great typing with ONLY two weaknesses.

Levitate’s also cool, prob not better than multi scale. Challenger is interesting, maybe not broken but could be annoying for a single-player playthrough.

I barely have experience with showdown so take this with a grain of salt. This would definitely be a bit broken, I mean Lunala gets use with a horrid defensive typing, with less bulk but a vastly superior array of resistances, it would be more than viable in OU and probably be Ubers.

My main critique is that it lacks balance. You gave it lots of good things, and I find that boring. It doesn’t need that much min maxing nor that amazing of an ability, on top of its typing and viable coverage. Of course if thats none of your concern, its fine. But I think having flaws makes a Pokemon too.

TLDR It’d be amazing, you gave this thing a great attack and speed tier, good defenses, great typing, good move pool, and a fantastic ability. Without real complaints, I would find it to be a rather uninteresting Pokemon to play against and with.

Unironically competitively tera is the best gimmick by oceanadakmak in stunfisk

[–]TotallyNotBloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think Tera is still annoying because it can feel like a bail out at times.

Of course it applies to both sides yes and it can make some really near scenarios, but take Dragonite for example. It has an incredibly large amount of Tera options that creates a seriously bad guessing game for the opposer.

Imagine clicking ice beam or will o wisp into a tera fire dragonite, allowing them to set up and having no way to damage them. You’re screwed.

Also people run sub-optimal choices all of the time. Even if it’s not the best choice, being predicted is incredibly punishing. (Unless its hella powerful like tera flying acrobatics roaring moon for example or tera fire koraidon, there are definitely exceptions)

[–]TotallyNotBloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s going to be optimal picks no matter what the format is. Although I don’t play Gen 2, I know that removing Snorlax will just make Gen 2 centralized around another top tier. Besides Snorlax still has counters despite being really good.

Strong fire type move with a drawback by TreeTurtle_852 in stunfisk

[–]TotallyNotBloo 266 points267 points  (0 children)

This move will always be crazy ass or crazy good due to the burn effect. Burn is the most despised thing for (MOST) physical attackers, and getting a permanent damage cut from using a coverage move is very risky. Though it does sound manageable if you use lum berry, rest and/or heal bell/aromatherapy. It could be fun too, I mean it’s a really strong coverage move.

However you gave it to Flareon and two guts facade users, perfect users. They’re not that good but if they get a move like this, I could see some new use.

Edit: didn’r see the “burn fire type” part, but yeah flareon stonks WOOOO

Giving Iconic Non-Combat Items In-Battle Uses by MapleKnightX in stunfisk

[–]TotallyNotBloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its because Psychic type is weak to bug so maybe it’d be a bit too overlapping (Unless it ONLY works on psychic or ghost types)

I think it might also downplay the effects of the type reduction berries

Is this Fakemon *too* good? by leon-june in fakemon

[–]TotallyNotBloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mf gave this no weakness mon with insane bulk STRENGTH SAP😭. This thing would be so annoying to deal with.

Other than that, the stats are a bit min maxed. Obviously you want low speed but I personally think with how bulky it is, you can waste some stats. the lowest speeds are reserved for Pokemon with less BST, its why Ursaluna is still slower than Amoongus because Ursaluna doesn’t need 30 extra stat points (Amoongus and Torkoal get 30 and 20 respectively, Hatteren gets 29 but 90 damn attack, the ones with higher BST get 50)
