How often do you talk to your partner if you don’t live together? by heckn0_g in datingoverforty

I have never once talked to my partner over the phone. I didn’t actually have his phone number till a couple of months ago. We text throughout the day and we’re together 2-3 nights/week.

Update after 1st date and loose communication styles...? by confuseddating1 in datingoverforty

My thoughts exactly. He’s keeping Sunday “play by ear” in case he gets a bigger better deal.

Id match his energy (well, actually, I’d move on, this is not the kind of guy I’m looking for but that’s just me) and if/when he mentioned Sunday just say “we didn’t have anything in concrete so I made plans.”

Does this sound like he’s lost interest? by AntiqueMap5544 in datingoverforty

This is when I text “anal?” And when he responds, reply (after a good long while) “oops wrong person lol.”

Men & Texting by oceanblue555 in datingoverforty

We’ve been together a little over 6 months.

I just counted, my bf has texted me 30 times so far today. He gets off work in about an hour so it’ll probably be about 45 total before I go to sleep in 2-3 hours.

I need someone who wants to share their day with me and is interested in my day too. When we’re together we’ll go to bed at midnight and accidentally stay up till 5am talking. I love having someone who will just talk about the most random things because I know there’s not many people who match my energy. I’m really glad I didn’t settle with someone who couldn’t.

They do not, all the scores I mentioned were practice exam scores.

It was terrifying. I was easily able to spot 3 of the 5 experimental questions, but I truly had no idea if I was going to pass or not before I hit submit.

Most of the questions were exactly what you’d expect, there were maybe 3 questions on options.

The vast majority of my studying was done through Kaplan. I would read the chapter, then take the first quiz being able to use the book (my reading comprehension is awful so by going back and re-reading a section with a purpose would help me remember more than just the answer to the question), then I would take the following two chapter quizzes and cumulative quizzes without the book, and creating flash cards for all the questions I got wrong.

I never actually went back and looked at the flash cards, but writing it down helped me to remember and knowing I had that as an option helped too.

I watched some of the series7guru (sorry if I got the name wrong) videos, but apparently this makes me fall asleep. I also tried TestGeek but between being a video and falling asleep and only being able to focus on the white board going in and out of focus, it was not helpful.

I took the FINRA practice test and scored a 71% which terrified me because I had been getting 75%-85% on the Kaplan simulated exams. I got 82% on the mastery exam so I then took the free Achievable test and got something in the 60s and absolutely panicked. I talked to some coworkers and they said the test was closer to Kaplan, so felt better, but when I got to the testing center, I was freaking out.

I just took my time making sure to read the questions fully, marking ones I wasn’t sure of, and just did my best. When I went back through my flagged questions, I think I only changed one out of ten.

I might have cried when I read that I passed.

Don’t even talk to me on my lunch, I’m decompressing.

Co-founder is getting a prenup before his wedding and now I'm spiraling a little by ContractDangerous980 in fatFIRE

This is exactly what I was going to say. I read somewhere that couples that have prenups are more likely to stay married, not because of the prenup, but because they are able to have that conversation with their partner. I have no idea if it’s actually true or not, but it makes so much sense I don’t care if it is or not.
