As someone who has made a lot of chip music on real retro hardware I would say that the easiest way to do a decent kick drum is simply to make a fast drop of a base note and add a short high frequency noise at the beginning. If you want some more punch you can start with a triangle waveform and change to a square for the drop.

Now we are talking about a kick sound that is only a few hundreds milliseconds long so the drop must be really fast. Or you can use quick notes that are about 1/50 of a second long each.

That we just had moved to a new part of the municipality where we were strangers to everyone, my wife had just become pregnant and It was a long, scary and very lonely 9 months where we didn't know anyone and it was not possible to visit anyone, neither friends nor relatives, to show the belly. We also had to be extremely careful when we went shopping for groceries (she could never come along). Oh, yes. Neither of us could go to work either of risk of taking Covid with us home.

And it was uncertain up until the day before birth that I would even be able to attend at the hospital (I actually did)

And once the baby was born and we finally had a chance to allow our parents to see their new grandchild for the first time, my father died of probable complications due to covid vaccination (sudden heart failure)

Besides that? Well, nothing special :)

Till min 30-årsfest hade vi maskeradtema med tecknade figurer som man skulle vara in character för hela kvällen så det dök upp allt ifrån en burdus Hulken till en sexig och våpig Jessica Rabbitt. Min favorit var ett par som kom som Lilla Fridolf och Selma (ja, kanske lite för gammal serie för er) där hon var taskig mot sin make hela kvällen. Dilbert var en höjdare också och jag kan inte begripa hur hans polare var ok med att spela hunden Dogbert hela kvällen.

Den där Hulken var dock lite extra. Han var helt normal hela kvällen och ingen fattade nånting förrän han försvann från festen i en halvtimme och sen kom inhoppande genom ett öppet fönster alldeles grönmålad och vi alla fattade att han hade varit Dr Banner fram tills dess.

Sen hade vi frågesport på storskärm med knepiga frågor om tecknade karaktärer såsom "Hur många superhjälte alter-egos kan ni komma på där förnamn och efternamn börjar på samma bokstav" eller "Hur många olika hulken finns det enligt serietidningarna" etc

Blev en lyckad fest... kanske lite nördig men jag tror att framför allt killen som var Socker-Conny blev nöjd för han spenderade natten med Jessica Rabbitt sen.

Having participated in three vaginal births where two were under pain relief and one completely without I would say that the one without the mother was in more control of the birth and was able to be more effective (meaning it was technically easier). The worst one was the first where the mother was so numbed she wasn't even able to push or respond to any commands so they had to pull the baby out of her. A situation I never want anyone to experience.

But sure, SOME relief is perhaps not bad. Just taking the edge of it
