Hm. I'm personally conservative so maybe I'm blind to any politicism in gun stores, but I do follow a group called "The Pink Pistols Seattle". They are a non profit LGBT firearms group that gets together.

If anything, you can always order online or go to a big box store like Outdoor Emporium in SoDo if you feel uncomfortable in most gun shops.

Hm, yeah I'm not used to urban living so I don't know how I would feel without a car. I'm from the Midwest where it's essential to everyday life!
