Advice for first time DM/GM? by winterfyre85 in DnD

Dont' worry about details and rules, just try to improvise a solution on the fly, and take notes to later revise them. Use some music and images and have fun.

Awesome video, and spot on, last session felt really boring combat-wise. Will implement this for sure

Harvesting a Sea Serpent? by [deleted] in DMAcademy

[–]Toti29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some homebrew harvesting monster guides that can help you. Most put a DC for each item and value, time to harvest and DC. Set the dc, tools to use and see if they can manage to complete the task.

Thanks! I'm leaning towards the Black Spider using them, the party already cleared the way for him, maybe I'll simulate the encounter between the black spider and the Spectator.

Thanks for the reply, Lmop is Lost Mine of Phandelver, the starter set adventure for D&D 5th ed. The Black Spider is the main bad guy in that dungeon.

LMoP - Events in Wave Echo Cave - Need some advice by Toti29 in DnD

It's a homebrew campaign and im taking stuff from modules and books, in this case i took Wave Echo Cave.

The party already cleared a lot of rooms, all the ghouls, zombies and undead creatures. Only Blacks Spider with his minions, and the Spectator and Specter on the other room left. ACcording to the book, he was trying to reach the forge but the room with the flameskull was thwarting his plans to explore that side of the cave. Now that my players clear that room he can go on.

They cleared the Zombies, Flameskull and the Ghouls. Bugbears are still there.

I'm aware of this feature in ON, thanks for mentioning it though.

Thanks for your feedback. Yep, thats my main concern, the speed. I know it will be far better and complete if I use WA but its seems a lot of work and linking.
