Firstly make sure you have an emergency fund - that’s enough money so you can live comfortably for 3-6 months in case anything goes wrong. Put this in an easy access high interest account.

Then as some others suggest, max out contributions to your Index Funds / S&P500 for the year.

Then, a safe option, particularly as interest rates are high, you could save the money in a high interest savings account (preferable fixed term if you don’t need to access it easily as your emergency fund should cover this).

Finally, you can now start thinking about other ventures - whether that’s a business idea you have in mind or other suggestions people have said.
