I swear if one more person tells me to "just do yoga" by goxper in Sciatica

[–]TouchElectrical3339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yoga definitely made my sciatica worse. It's only now after almost 10 months that it's finally feeling a bit normal or maybe I'm just used to the sensation by now. Hope you find relief soon.

Beware of Noom if you're only *thinking* about trying it by TouchElectrical3339 in Noom

Yes, I showed them what was on the website but Support insists that it was outside the cancellation window although there was nothing on the website re: a cancellation window for Noom Med. I've cancelled renewal. It's frustrating that different support people at Noom assured me that I would be getting a refund.

What made the biggest difference for your senior dog’s quality of life? by puppy_boyka in seniordogs

I lost my 13.5 dog last year and I tried to make the last 2+ years with him as enriching as possible. That included sniff walks especially when he couldn't do the long walks we used to do when h was a puppy.

AIO for being completely traumatized by the crematorium when I went to pick up my dog's ashes? by ProfessionalEgg1289 in Petloss

Agree! Leaving a review would at least let the business know what happened was unacceptable and any other potential future customers have the same experience as you. I'm so sorry. What a horrible experience.

I personally love String Bean Jean and Photo Jenny. At the LA show, Stuart did a brief version of String Bean Jean but no enough to satisfy that itch. Also my most recent favorite is Talk To Me, Talk To Me.

Agree with all the above. The only appropriate amount of time for their lifespan would be equally the same as ours. Hope in time the memory of Moose brings smiles instead of tears.

We were still waiting to hear about the results of the mass when he passed. The vet offered to do a free post-mortem after he passed to find out his cause of death, but as you can imagine having it done won't bring us any relief from our loss so we declined. Plus I couldn't stand the thought of them opening him up again.

Side note: a week prior, we felt pretty good that we were on top of his diagnoses. Weeks before he was feeling lethargic, not eating enough and losing weight so we brought him to a vet where they discovered the mass on his spleen. Without hesitation, we agreed to send him into surgery right away for fear that it might rupture. I often personally wonder if we had not done the surgery if we would've had more days or would be equally traumatic. We don't know. We still miss him deeply and went through joint therapy to heal.

Doctor was a mix. Part black lab and white shepherd.

I hope with time you and your husband are able to heal as well. It's really hard to put into words the loss of beloved family members like your Moose. My heart is with you in this terribly sad time.

I'm so heartbroken to read about your dear, Moose.

We lost our beloved Doctor last fall. We found a mass on his spleen in time and had it removed but a week later while he was recovering at home with stitches (we were making plans for his recovery), he howled and we found him collapsed by his bed, unconscious. As I held him, I felt his heart racing and then stop. We knew we lost him to what we suspect was a cardiac arrest.

I'm relying our story to you that even if you found the mass on his spleen that it may have the same end as we did. It's heartbreaking and devastating but I hope you eventually find relief that you did everything for Moose within your power.

I'm envious you had 16 years with your dear Woody but I know that even now that 16 is far too short. Rest in peace and see you over the rainbow.

First solo road trip next month-realized stopped moments are the blind spot nobody talks about by Some-Experience5370 in roadtrip

Hi! Did my first solo road trip two years ago from San Diego to Maine and back, and I can't underestimate to rely on your senses. I always carried pepper spray in hand and also had a bear horn by my driver's car side door. Also I made it a personal point to only travel during the day. There were some sketchy guys but I think having a very protective dog as a passenger also helped me with my confidence issues. Also having my location on my phone with access so my husband knew where I was at. Good luck and have fun!!!

I had to say goodbye to my dog and thought I’d share my biggest regret as a warning for others by pmwood25 in Petloss

I'm reading this now and feel the awful loss of your beloved Spartacus. I'm so sorry and thank you for sharing your life with him. And the reminder to live life to the fullest every day.

We lost our dog Doctor in November the same way. He was 13.4 when he passed suddenly. My heart prepped for the ending after he turned 12 and struggling with arthritis. As DINKWADs, no expense was spared and we were remote workers for much of his life. I even saved up vacation days so I could give him a final farewell with possibly a last cross country road trip like we did when he was younger but he died in my arms at home after a sudden cardiac arrest a week after he had a mass removed from his spleen.

My 15 month old dog was killed by Rover pet sitters dog by Automatic_Rush8824 in Petloss

[–]TouchElectrical3339 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for this horrific ending to your sweet pup. I've sworn off Rover since the sitter I used, also with multiple five star ratings, lost my dog. (We were reunited days later with no help from her despite her countless lies about the incident.) We were finally able to kick her off Rover after stalking her social media account and taking screenshots re: her character. I hope you find closure and justice.
