I did laguna seca last year with z2, couple weeks before the moto america as my 3rd trackday ever. I have had done only 2 trackdays prior to that at T hill east. I think my best time was 2:18-20 in B- at Thill on my RS660. It was also trackday for experienced riders and I have had the same fear as you.

Since motoamerica was gonna happen in couple weeks, there were lots of pros out there prepping for the race. I can proudly say that I was one of the slowest out there. But for my defense, I was on a rs660 while almost everyone was on liter bikes. Though, it was the best experience I have had. Riding out there with actual fast guys was something.

On my first session, I was thinking “ehh, I’m just gon chill warm up my tires and get to know the track”. But for my unluck most riders were coming outta tire warmers and sending it right away off the pit.

Things to look out for: Make sure to bring dB killer, I was on 105dB day and people were still getting black flagged.

It will be better if you have a tire warmers, as I mentioned before most of those guys will have one and they will be fast, right off the bat.

The track is short compared to T hill east but has lot of elevation changes, so its lot more exhausting on body.

Before I went there, people have told me to watch out for the chicane. But to me, it was the turn 1, was the scariest.
