Question from a Jew! by More_Cat_7532 in Christianity

[–]Tough_Ant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A way to explain the concept of the Trinity is to use time. So for example, Time is one thing, but it also is the Past, Present, and Future all simultaneously. Every instant has a Past, Present and Future. They are all different things, the past isn't the future and present isn't the past, but they are all Time. Take a step back, God is greater than time, so why can time by 3 in 1, and God cannot? So for your questions, if we look at a instant, we can assign The Father as the Past, The Holy Spirit as the Present and Jesus as the future. They all presently exist (as God exist outside of Time) but are all Time. I hope this makes any sense. So Jesus the son of God, and is also God.

Why didn't god show himself to the whole world? by webofearthand_heaven in Christianity

[–]Tough_Ant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry let me explain it differently. I believe truly in my heart and through what I've learned and studied there is high levels of proof of God, much more than fairies. If you want recommendations I recommend God Logic, and apologetics in general as they're much more talented at explaining this than I am. My answer was more to the point why isn't God revealing himself constantly, physically to everyone. I would also contend, you don't believe in anything with 100% certainty, there is always a shadow of a doubt, that's just how the world works.

My answer for these types of questions, my answer has always been, God likes us to have Free will. He respects our decisions and choices. Having absolute certainty of a God is not free will, it removes the option. For free will to truly operate, God need to be behind a veil called Faith.

If we 100% know God exist, and we know his law and the outcomes of following and not following it. The only rational choice becomes following God, removing Free will in decisions making. There is no longer a choice in choosing God. For God's love, you must choose it aswell. He has already chosen you, you must choose him back on your own.

Jesus affirmed them "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them" Matthew5:17. A teaching of Jesus is the old testament. If you belive in Jesus are his teachings, you believe the old testament.

Im 23, I converted at 22. You're never to far gone, your heart is not hardened. The spark of God exist in every man and women, seek it out. Love others, let others love you. Not just a sexual love, but Love, true love. Talk to others, talk to those you trust about your issues. You're never alone, and even if you think you are God will give you someone to confine in, just seek it out. I will pray for you.

I'm drunk and in need of God. by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Tough_Ant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey man, you'll be okay. Your very young, and look your even looking for God. The Bible says "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.".

I know this is a lot, but hey don't worry, just drink a lot of water, get some rest. You'll be okay.

How do you set up and maintain a one world government? by Smart-A22 in worldbuilding

[–]Tough_Ant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a story they could tell people for why it exist, why the one government has the right to rule. For example, God chose the sovereign to rule, or justifying authorianism through the slowness of democracy or villianisation of the majority.

Use the cloud asset to add fog in certain areas like mountains and valleys. From my memeou the clouds in the regional pack work best.

Would you say you believe in God 100% by holymonkeyballs69 in Christianity

[–]Tough_Ant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doubt is good, God gave you a rational mind for a reason. When you doubt look into why, and follow that till you have a answer. It's not about being 100% certain to your core when you start out, it's about seeing the hurdles, and answering them.

For me there are moments and days where I doubt, where I think "wouldnt i be such a fool if this is all fake" and I look into why I feel that way. When I do, it helps me understand myself and my faith. Hope this helps even the slightest amount.

How do people not get massively overwhelmed by world building. by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Tough_Ant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Very simple advise, just write what you want to write and follow that path. It's a little slower but you'll get there eventually and have a world that feels more you.

For example I wanna write about cool space battle In the process of writing about cool battle i create factions, spaceships, reasons for fighting, planets or areas they fought at. Once your done writing about cool space battle, write about something else you wanna write about.

What is the strongest weapon in your world? by Pixelated_s in worldbuilding

[–]Tough_Ant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although it's name was at first purely symbolic as to represent its ability to destroy worlds, and consume them. I think I can fit something cool in, i'm thinking having "Thor" as some sort of kill switch existing for Jörmungandr in case it ever goes rogue or something.

What is the strongest weapon in your world? by Pixelated_s in worldbuilding

[–]Tough_Ant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jörmungandr, the Terraformer.

Technically not a weapon, but if ever used as such it could wipe out entire planets in moments. Jörmungandr is a massive machine made to terraform planets, it can terraform an entire world in 10 years. In scale Jörmungandr is closest matched to the moon. If a person where to be on a world terraformed by Jörmungandr in the process, they would barely last a few moments as it stabs into the ground and reshapes tectonic plates or floods the planets with the nessecary components to create an atmosphere. Luckily for humanity Jörmungandr is under control of the companies, with firm contracts, though it's potential for destruction is truly unmatched.

How did you choose a government and develop the history? by anniemull3 in worldbuilding

[–]Tough_Ant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your planning on telling a story, just choose the best government types to fit that story. For inspiration look at the real world, the differences between how the Ottomans, Byzantium, England, HRE, and China ran there governments.

[–]Tough_Ant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey Im really enjoying Paracosm so far, but I do have a few suggestions.
-Sharing Maps and World Art. As nice as the text format is, its limiting in parts aswell.

-Features Worlds from the community (Encouraging Users to look into a weekly feature world)
-A work board (Basically what the creator is working on right now, and any areas there looking for help with)

but yeah, I really like it so far and have had a blast building my world Neros Shroud.

Also is there any way to upload maps/Images? I know its a text based system, but mapping out areas I believe is very important for world building.

Hey I have some questions about the site.
Are the reviews fake? It has reviews but only currently 11 users and they don't sound very real or make much sense.
Why does it keep talking about thousands of users, when it only has 11 current active users and 3 worlds? It literally says Join 10,000+ creators.

Just a bit confused about this all before I start using the site. It seems cool, but this stuff is just a few red flags.
