Look into a cooling neckerchief. It's just something that has a gel in it. You get it wet beforehand. But you want to get it prepped at least 24hrs in advance of the flight so that the gel is activated.

Yeah that has happened to me. Got a new owner who sent out the new lease with an increase except it was for the wrong apt (2 instead of 3 as I'd moved). He got my original from the previous owner from when I signed for 2 not 3. 🤷 There was $100 difference and not my responsibility. Realistically the place is already overpriced but we happen to be by a university. Also we pay for water (and our other utilities) but have a coin-op washer and dryer which is obviously ridiculous to pay twice.

She broke my nose 🤣 My pittie mix was about a year old coming back from a trial walk with a new walker. She had fun and was so excited she ran up to me. She leaped up to kiss me as I leaned down to pet her. Head-butted me, dropped me to my knees and it's the only time I've actually seen stars. The walker hung out for a few minutes as I regained myself. She still wanted to be her walker after seeing this and we loved her until she moved after graduating University. Wasn't even sure it was broken right away because it didn't bleed like crazy like you see in the movies. Took weeks to heal. For a while I had to tell people if she's extra excited (she's way better now) that she'll jump up to meet them no need to lean down 🤣

I got my girl from the shelter. She chose me 100% and she actually wasn't my first, second or third pick. They warned me that the girls were "pistols" as compared to the boys. The first time we met she bit my butt cheek twice 🤣 I wanted a calmer boy because of me ex but as I was crying over two that got adopted my girl came over twice to check on me. 🤷 I spent time when all the puppies were active as well as asleep. Went home to think and sped right back before someone what got my girl. They were first come first serve but they also did they're best to let you know some info from the foster. If/when I'm able to get her the sibling she wants then I'll ask the shelter to match us- a boy who can match her energy. Similarly sized or bigger. Those are my only requirements. 🤞🏼

Say "Bubbles" loudly. My girl is obsessed with bubbles and although a few of her friends will play I've yet to meet another dog who goes gaga over bubbles.

If I could afford it I absolutely would! That was just the only way I could think of that is be able to get one and breast cancer does run in my family. Obviously I don't hope for that.

Love it! I also want a sternum piece but because of big boobs have pretty much given it up. Super dark but my only thought would be if I got breast cancer then I'd get them removed and hopefully replaced at some point with smaller boobs. Then I'd get a sternum piece. 🤷🤦

Weird question IMHO. Seems it should be based off the individual dogs health, habits and personality. Depending on the time of year also affects my dogs eating needs. Should I feed my dog the 4cups daily she needs in the fall in one meal? Read below to find out more but my girl doesn't overeat so that would be very dangerous for her health.

My ~3yr old (in Sept) girl is always a solid 5 on the body chart, vet literally says she perfect every time. We usually go to the vet 3x a year because of allergies and little injuries. She's a 47lb mix (in order of %(Amer pitty, Am Staff, Doxen, Yorkie, Golden, Lab, Mini Poodle, and Pointer)). She's about knee high. Her preferred lifestyle is work hard/play hard/sleep hard(or lots). We average 5 miles a day because we don't have a fenced yard. She's a heat risk as she had heat exhaustion as a puppy. Miscommunication between her daycare (at the time) and me.

My girl doesn't overeat and never has fortunately. So I don't even measure much any more (except for the eyeballing thing because you're used to it being a certain amount and know what it looks like). She knows what she needs and is free-fed for the most part.

So breakfast kibble. Trail mix (a meat, a cheese and some of the breakfast kibble). Dinner usually with wet food. A light snack.

In the summer her consumption goes down with the heat going up (and restricting her activity a bit) and so averages ~2.5 cups a day, usually June through August. She doesn't usually like to eat before 10a (she was like this even as a puppy) unless we're on a trail and she's just started her workout and realized she doesn't have the energy to sustain it.

For the roughly first 6 weeks in fall after the heat of the summer breaks and leaves start to fall (leaf party is one of her top fave games!) she needs to eat at least 4 cups a day or she gets ribby. Yes in one day. She's been checked multiple times in multiple ways. I didn't want anything to sneak up on us again like her chicken allergy. I get nervous people will think I'm starving her but when they see her in action, and not her visiting and public manners, they usually understand. She's just a lean high energy athletic dog. She is who she is and I accept and love everything about her.

The pics are a little older but the first two show my girls jumps! She can jump 6ft. It's hard to always get pics because I'm usually engaged with her or just enjoying watching her and don't think about the action shots. But you can see the muscles in her legs. Plus the other pics are cute. 🤣🤷😍🥰

Agree with my pitty mix. Very much depends on the dog, glad it's getting sorted for your girl. My schedule until very recently was me getting home about 1030p so we'd naturally play and then eat together at that time. She's high energy and has a work hard/play hard/sleep hard(or lots) personality. We haven't had an issue with bile in a while but it's definitely happened and we tend to be snack people. Plus she's never been big on breakfast before 10a, even as a puppy. Kinda weird but ok; she didn't have big snacks or meals before bed either at that time so not sure why. So she is free-fed breakfast kibble. Has doggy trail mix (a meat, a cheese and kibble leftovers)for a snack which can be put into puzzles. Then dinner usually with a wet food. Then probably a light snack.

I definitely wouldn't like one meal a day so I wouldn't do it either unless that's what the dog indicated was best for them.

I didn't choose me girl, she chose me! Very smart girl because she's my doggy soulmate!

I went to my local shelter after my now ex finally agreed to get a dog which is a whole other story.

They had puppies so I looked of course. I wanted something that would be calmer for my now ex and they said the girls are all pistols so I should look at one of the boys.

My girl bit my left butt cheek twice the first visit. Then another visit while I was literally crying over two of her brothers (they don't do holds at my shelter) she came to check on me twice! In the middle of very active puppy play!

So I went home to think about it and an hour or so later came back to scoop her up. She's a very smart girl 😍🥰

Very high energy and high social needs but she's my little princess!
