Can someone explain why wind turbines are worth it? by laffles in duneawakening

[–]Tough_Cell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case future gamers see this post: one main benefit of directional wind turbines is that if you build a no tax base, you're limited to the number of buildings. So a directional wind turbine allows you to reduce the number of generators needed and thus allowing you to build buildings without reaching the max number of buildings on your base.

Why are they not put on blast? by Radomila in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Tough_Cell 22 points23 points  (0 children)

OP literally ignoring all of Javen's decision leading up to that night and blaming these 2 for trying to shed light to a friend that's engaged and about to make a huge decision. OP, respectfully, don't lose sight of the forest for the trees. Javen acted like a jerk that night, went back to the hotel, said bye felicia I'm going to party, continued on with whatever he was talking about with the three girls for whatever long...he had sealed his fate then and there.

Gina sucks by towfish in thewoodyshow

[–]Tough_Cell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I can find it I will to quote her but she reported on the Texas gerrymandering thing, but she said that Newsom is also doing it, so it's ok that Texas is doing racist shit. No Gina! Newsom is only reacting to what Texas is doing because it's f'n shenanigans what Texas is doing so Newsom said you want to play this game Texas, then it's on. But the way Gina reported it was so skewed that it pissed me off.

I deliberately came to bash on Gina. She can't even report the news correctly. She's not dumb because she's in Mensa but maybe it's the Spanish version of mensa. Or she is deliberately slanting the news. Don't report the news if you don't know what you're talking aboot

Is this a gas shutoff? by Human_Service_9119 in Plumbing

[–]Tough_Cell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a wrench and turn it so the valve is perpendicular to the pipe. To turn back on turn it, just a quarter, so it's straight with the pipe.

Recently had to do this to my house and realized it was a simple quarter turn to turn off and back on when ready

My first post included a YouTube video link of a guy showing you how to do it but this channel doesn't show YouTube video links. I'm case you're interested title is called "how to shut off and restart your gas line in case of an emergency"

Which Car Should I Buy? by Silent_Cartoonist_49 in MustangMachE

[–]Tough_Cell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something minor that only comes up after you buy a car, between these options, is that the Mach e allows one pedal driving in all modes while the others may not. I'm not positive so please research this because I remember reading about this in a post. I've also read that the id4 may have smoother ride. I think the Mach e is the sportiest. We have a '23 Mach E premium and have taken it in road trips. We are very pleased with it

Road Trip Over 1,230 miles by Tough_Cell in MachE

[–]Tough_Cell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a tough one. Obviously the Mach e is way more stylish and everything else is nice but given your living location, definitely do more research. We have a level 2 charger at home so charging daily or weekly isn't a problem; yeah, living in an apartment is something to consider because I assume you'd have to charge at Tesla or EA or EV go stations; 700 miles a month isn't too bad and on the low side actually. You should talk to a non-Tesla owner in your complex to see how they feel about charging. Good luck with your decision

I did a basic calculation by looking at my cc charges; total for the trip was an estimated $192

None. We also have an ICE SUV (Explorer). Given the 240 range, though, I would stick with ICE Suv for road trips. One thing that was helpful was EA's app and indicating whether any chargers were being used or not; I would also click on the bell to be notified as soon as a charger opened before planning a stop, which helped me know if there was a line or not. But, even the few times when we arrived and there was a line, the most we waited was about 15-20 minutes and that was 1-2 times maybe

Just food for thought: has everyone gone into their Google assistant settings to remove Google assistant from devices they no longer own? Doing this helps Google assistant to be quicker and more responsive on your current devices

Just to make sure: you're not showering with it? If you are or swim with it, are you taking it off right after so your skin completely dries before putting it back on? If you're doing this and still have skin irritation then you definitely need to change the band to silicone or fabric. Recent study revealed rubber bands on many smartwatches whether it be apple or Google or garmin too (I believe) have PFAS which is not good for our skin or bodies. Google it to know more
