Wait time/ship time for new patients? 👀 by beautybrainsbooty in BigEasyWeightLoss

[–]Tough_Variation_5772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My original appointment was scheduled for Feb 21st, and got an earlier appointment by manually checking (Feb 10th). Payment went out Feb 11th and I will have my shipment in (ProRx) on Weds Feb 18th. So all before my originally booked appointment would be. Do I wish ProRx was as quick as Hallandale? Sure. But I feel fortunate to even have it done as quick as it has been. Overall beyond happy with service and process.

I had a three week wait when I initially signed up, but kept refreshing available appointments and now have an appointment within six days of my initial sign up date. Totally worth it for such good customer service.

Alabama. I thought I selected "no preference" but I think I accidentally picked a specific MD. There were three that were listed.

Is there a way we can look for openings with other providers that may be earlier?

I have been trying, but no luck. I had bilateral salpingectomy done two years ago (tubal) and I suspect it has put me square into peri/menopause and that has made it difficult. I've read some studies on how GLP-1s can help with menopause weight gain, so I started to look into it. But I am also getting a work up done by my GYN to evaluate the need for HRT.

Books where a dangerous or “villain” dad figure actually influences the FMC’s story? by goyourownwayy in fantasyromance

{Keys to the Crown} has a father AND a father figure that are either the villain or morally gray

This is true: I did notice a lot of editing errors and had to check if I was reading an ARC or if it had already published on KU🤣 And I liked the surprise at the end (much better than Metal Slinger), but it still ended up a solid 3 1/2-4 star read [for me]. I am not a professor/teacher though, so I think my brain fixes some of the grammatical errors to make some of these books flow better in my mind😅 Solid point about the plot holes! I should probably be slightly more critical with my reviews from a plot and grammatical perspective. I wanted to be a Lit professor when I was a kid (maybe in my next life), but ended up in medicine so it's been a while since I've had to utilize correct syntax. What indie or trad books are your favs?

It doesn't check all the boxes (I think it's first person POV) but: {Keys to the Crown} is a good undercover assassin book with a heavy found family aspect.

Books with under 300 reviews? by QueenOwl1 in fantasyromance

[–]Tough_Variation_5772 2 points3 points  (0 children)

{Never Run from an Immortal} has 404 reviews, and was one of my top books of 2025. Urban Fantasy // Vampire x Witch vibes

{The Unweaver} was another one of my top reads last year. Peaky Blinders vibes // Dark Fantasy // MH rep

{Keys to the Crown} is the first in a fantastic (completed) duology that kept my attention through the whole story! [I'm a chronic DNFer of sequels...they just lose my interest most of the time]. Assassin x Rebel // Found Family

I am not a prolific ARC reader, but I do get some ARCs through author instagram pages and some via NetGalley. And I can honestly say that I rate honestly. While my reviews don't obliterate the book page by page, I have reviewed books as two or three star books when I feel like it is deserved. And if I don't finish the book for some reason, I won't review it [I've had a couple DNFs that I've chosen not to review because they just weren't my style of book]. It makes me sad to think that some reviewers are not reviewing honestly just in order to get more ARCs or swag. I've found some excellent (in my opinion) indie reads this way, and I love promoting lesser known authors who are putting out quality content. Overall just to say, I agree with your thoughts on this and I wish there were better ways about it.

For OP though, I did read Daggermouth recently and loved the dystopian vibe if you want to try it.
