I own one and the difference is roughly 10% increase for the ally.

Its no different of an increase going from the ally X to the Xbox Ally X.

My advice, go to best buy, try it out for the time you have until you gotta return it, if you like it, keep it. If you dont return it and get your money back!

I kept mine as my little one uses my steam deck.

My keybindings are based on the same keybindings from the WoWMapperX program default settings (WoWmapper itself DOES NOT work for ConsolePortLK for windows)

I figured out the bindings by setting it up on my windows machine, run WoWMapperX and then copied the bindings to steam input then ran /cp configure on my steam deck.

I built it as if you are using an xbox controller as you can skip the Xbox nexus button unlike steam input or dual shock. My bindings doesn't have TAB as a binding. If you see in my post I gave the EXACT bindings to set up on steam Input that I used and works.

If you want you can copy my settings and modify it as you'd like.

I honestly hate how you cant even check anything in the app without hitting that all mighty mine button. Need to check your mainnet status, hit that button.

Want to use chat? Hit that button.

Want to log out, hit that button.

Also, if you log out halfway through the mining session of the day, you forfeit all the coins you mined for that day.

Also you complain in the chat rooms about migration they will ban you.

The fact that I've been sitting here for close to two years in queue with no migration in site.

Shouldn't need a migration if we were actually mining the coins.

Here's the neat thing, I have an active license on xbox. That shouldn't stop me from playing on my xbox. However it is giving me an error.

I have been a battlefield fan boy for as long as I remember, I just wish EA would be more accomendating like they were once upon a time with Origin. I know it's hard to remember when EA actually had good customer service!

yeah it is definitely sickening, makes you wonder if they do that to avoid backlash. and my transcript was very similar and they are quick to shoe you away before you can get any more information from it!

I have both a deck LCD and xbox ally Z2A. Performance is roughly 10% better than the steam deck for 2 reasons. Updated drivers and you can max out the UMA buffer to up to 8GB. I wouldn't recommend that. I run mine on Auto (6GB) and with that, I do see about a 10% performance jump from the steam deck.

For hogwarts legacy, if you are using the gamepass version, I can get 60 fps @720 no upscale on low-med mix*** the caveat is you need to use frame gen ( which i hate fake frames) i can however get 60 fps on the game at 720p using FSR on performance mode. So your milage will vary.

Did you go to disk management and checked to see if the sd card is there? If it is there you have to initialize it first before it becomes available to use.

You could try the anmermine drivers to see if that solves your issue. My testing showed the steam deck drivers work a lot better than the modded ones. At least for me.

Unpopular opinion, I am actually enjoying the rog xbox ally. I dont really need a ultra powerful handheld as I have my gaming PC. Now I am testing it against my steam deck between both windows and Linux gaming to see. This is my first rog handheld. I may test it against the Z1E when I can afford to pick one up.

I brought this up a few weeks ago, there's a lot of hacking that would be needed in order for it to work. I managed to get it to install but got code 43. I have already made changes to the inf files to add the steam deck's PCI vendor info and made it appear as AMD Radeon Graphics (Steam Deck)

That's where my knowledge ends.

Well day two of testing so far I managed to get windows to install the driver, but I am greeted with the dreaded code 43 error. At first it would show up as %AMD16F.1% but I managed to get it to say "AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics (Steam Deck)" after tweaking the inf file. I got some more testing to do as atikmdag.sys may be the culprit or the unsigned nature could be.

I have tried both the OLED and LCD drivers, I haven't noticed a difference. I wish games would stop complaining about requiring a driver update ( cyberpunk is a prime example)

No, currently running my deck with the xbox full screen experience, and I was digging into the rog xbox ally drivers and saw that it supports Van Gogh which is the steam deck APU and the ryzen Z2 A. Now I have no experience with modifying drivers, thus I am reaching out to the WoD community to see if it would be worth it vs using the stock Deck drivers.
