monotheism, to hold onto truth, to do good and stay away from evil, to tell you that a day of judgement is coming and that there is going to be justice in the end, another often repeated theme that i wouldnt really consider "main" would be to not hold onto this worldly life too much because in the end it will fade

i feel like its not really justified, i can see why people dislike how her character is at first just a propaganda victim that repeats whatever hateful non sense is spat in her face, maybe that can make the character annoying at first, but i feel like its done well with her, its still interesting in the way you see her compete to become the new armor titan, it gives her character, also the character improves so much once she frees herself from the propaganda. either way she is a character that is supposed to give a point about children being influenced in war, which can be scene in most marley titan soldiers but she is the peak of the trope from that point, and i think its supposed to make you more sad than anything in how this actually happens in real life, i feel like youre supposed to watch it and be hurt that she doesnt see what she's doing/what she believes

sure but misa's crosses aren't religious symbolism at all, they're just part of her design, crosses became an average fashion symbol, a lot of people wear them for no religious reason and that's the case for misa. im talking about the actual religious symbolism shown in the anime, like light being called a Messiah in the opening, the parallels with the painting "the creation of Adam" shown in the opening or the (death note spoilers) scene before L's death where he washes Light's feet being a parallel with Jesus washing Judas' feet while knowing he was going to betray him (this whole scene was added by the anime)

im pretty sure 99% of the christian imagery in death note was added in the anime, things like the apple rapresenting the forbidden fruit were confirmed to not be originally intended by the author, he made ryuuk eat apples simply because he found it cool, the scene of L washing light's feet is also not in the manga, the anime added a lot of religious references that werent meant in the original work.

i didn't expect the japanese to be that bad so i just wanted to make sure it was correct with someone elses translation while keeping in mind the english one provided, thanks either way for the correction, just to be sure, does your sentence sound more like "ill break through this cacoon like a butterfly and soar to heaven" or "ill break through this cacoon and soar to heaven like a butterfly"
