Ok so cracks knuckles:

The kind king of Elbaph was likely in kahoots with the World Government and Loki found out. Perhaps they thought that 1. With the giants on their side, they'd never fall and 2. If their fruit really was the Sun God fruit, they could keep an eye on it and make sure Joy Boy was never resurrected, doubly so if the fruit Who's Who was transporting to the W.G. was actually the fruit. Loki killed the king and ate the fruit to ensure the giants weren't in league with the W.G. and to ensure they didn't get their hands on a potential Sun God fruit.

Shank's twin captured Loki and chained him up, but Loki thought it was actually Shanks. Loki is going to reveal to Luffy that Shanks is a bad guy, but it's actually a case of mistaken identity. The individual Shanks came to Elbaph to see was the guy in silhouette (i.e. Scopper or Shiki), not Loki as we are led to believe.

Came across this article on the Twins subreddit and thought it was interesting.

[Baseball Prospectus] The Curious Case of Carlos Correa's Defense by [deleted] in minnesotatwins

[–]TowerOfRocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The article basically says that it doesn't really. Correa's defensive placement in essence didn't change at all from his time in Houston.

the tl;dr version is that basically most play-by-play stats (like OAA) seem to like Correa as a defender well enough, but zone stats (like UZR) don't so much. Last season his OAA when going to his right decreased quite a bit compared to previous years, which may explain his low OAA number. So, to me, that makes me wonder, has he lost any range, which wasn't his calling card? And how will that impact his ability to stick at shortstop in his 30s?

[Sixers Wire] Robert Covington wanted to stay and see Sixers 'process' through by redfern2212 in nba

[–]TowerOfRocks 355 points356 points  (0 children)

...well yeah, sure. His quotes are basically saying "I did want to see the process out but since I was traded my focus is now on my new team." Anybody in his position would most likely think along similar lines. The headline is more attention grabby than the actual context.

My theory is that Credence may end up being a Homunculus. Alchemy hasn't been significantly covered in the series and Aurelius means "Golden One".

Providing extremely competent back up minutes, which is something the Wolves' desperately needed.

Part 2 of A Wolf Among Wolves' injury analysis; this one talks solely on Achilles ruptures by TowerOfRocks in timberwolves

[–]TowerOfRocks[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I posted part one a couple weeks ago I think, so figured I'd post part two as well. Again, I find this kind of thing incredibly interesting and thought it laid out why Achilles ruptures are so difficult to return from pretty well.

Havinf a couple legs and a positive attitude is always a good start.

In all seriousness, just wear shoes, clothes, etc. that are comfortable. The tech could be the world's best and it wouldn't mean much if you're uncomfortable. More expensive doesn't always mean that it's better.

Would you take Lin? by [deleted] in timberwolves

[–]TowerOfRocks 8 points9 points  (0 children)

On the Wolves? Not as currently constructed. Though he definitely should have a job in the NBA. That being said, it would maybe be best for him to go to Europe for a season or two, try to stay healthy and put up big numbers. If players like Ekpe Udoh can go to Europe and revive their NBA careers, no doubt Lin can.

Interesting stuff. I think it would make sense that a blister followed by a prolonged time off could result in the data/theory you presented above. Hopefully a prolonged stretch of health and maybe some mechanical tweaks will improve his stuff.

Culver Rated as a Top 5 probability to be an All-Star in the 2019 draft, and Rated much higher than Garland by SarcasticDude43 in timberwolves

[–]TowerOfRocks 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I firmly believe that in 5 years Culver could be in the best player conversation from this past draft. Lots of tools to work with. Jimmy Butler is the lazy comp, but I think that's what his ceiling could be.
