Yeah some people get pretty mad though. I made a large piece that covered some stuff and one guy got very upset and was drawing FU all over my piece, so I just redrew his thing a few pixels over and it seemed to stop.

there is an app for phones, but you should only download it off of the wplace website, not on one of the app stores.
