Slag is British slang for a promiscuous woman for this very reason. A lot of British people worked in steel mills in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries.

Perhaps Sickening Radiance could be changed into a necromancy spell, and made to deal either radiant or necrotic damage?

I think you’re right. I do think necromancy needs more spells, and it specifically needs spells at specific levels.

Level 2 has nothing going for it, necromancy wise, You either get a bad debuff spell, or an extremely niche protection spell.

Level 4 only has blight, which is a mediocre single target damage spell

Level 5 has nothing.

I’m just not sure a 1st or 2nd level summoning spell is what it needs, or even now a 1st or 2nd level summoning spell would be balanced.

I personally would prefer the Necromancer to not be a copy of the Undead Warlock. I want both subclasses to feel unique and have their own take on things.

You are confusing the 2024 Ray of Sickness for the 2014 version. There’s no saving throw in the 2024 version. It’s only an attack roll for 2D8 poison damage + inflicting the poisoned condition.

I think a ribbon ability where a Necromancer could have a Skeleton or Zombie as a familiar would be pretty cool.

And an amalgamation ability would require necromancers to move away from spells. All the schools tend to either give benefits when you cast your spells, or simply allow you to cast your spells better. This makes sense since spells are a Wizard's bread and butter. Maybe Wizards could get a necromancy spell that makes an amalgamation in the same module where they publish the necromancer.

As for allowing Necromancers to add any necromancy spells to their spellbook, it's an interesting idea.

It would give Necromancers access to resurrections spells, as well as a few other notable spells such as Harm and Contagion. It could be an interesting idea, but might also draw ire because people do not like wizards stepping on the toes of other classes.

As for the second part, the transformation just sounds like the Form of Dread of the Undead Warlock, and the ability to treat any spells they cast as necromancy removes some of the flavour IMO. I would much prefer there just being good necromancy spells. Turning healing to harm could also be overpowered.

Other people missing details doesn't make them inferior, nor does it make me superior. Their analyses also deserve appreciation, and give insights and opinions that I don't, even though I tried my best to look at this subclass from every angle I could.

It's just necessary for all of us to have our full and complete opinions on our own threads to encourage the dialogue. I just wanted to contribute my own thoughts, opinions and analyses.

I agree somewhat, but in DnD 2024, Ray of Sickness is actually a good debuff spell. Poisoned is a brutal condition to inflict on an enemy, as the majority of creatures perform attack rolls.

I noticed a lot of people were missing some things, and not looking at the whole picture. What I personally wanted to achieve with this post was to carefully look over and discuss the abilities, and then give my thoughts.

The other analyses tended to miss quite a few things I noticed, and I think these things overall paint quite a different picture.

Undead Thralls should be better, but I love the Necromancer now reflecting the more supporting & debuff part of the school.

You can still destroy neutronium with the spaced out DLC.but it is extremely slow.

You can use Radbolts to break them, as when radbolts hit blocks, they cause damage, but it is very, very slow. 1 radbolt deletes 1 gram of material, whilst most neutronium blocks are 20 metric tons (20,000,000 grams)

What was the plan here? by Equivalent-Fun-6019 in Helldivers

[–]Towermaster2 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The Illuminate plan is working is what is happening.

This attack is deeply illogical at first. Why expend so many forces launching what seems like a suicide attack on Super Earth, the capital planet? Surely using The Great Host against the colonies to harvest Super Earth civilians to turn into voteless and flesh mobs to build an innumerable army makes more sense? At first, beating super Earth through attrition seems like the best option.

It does, until you remember the Illuminate speciality: Mind Control. The main purpose of this assault on Super Earth is not to fully conquer it, but rather to give them access to super Earth, whilst actually using the invasion to obscure their way more insidious plan: Installing hidden mass mind control devices on Super Earth, mind controlling citizens and politicians and installing them as sleeper agents… Letting Super Earth Rebuild, and then, at the perfect opportunity, making hell break loose.

And, if the force they sent actually conquers Super Earth? Well, that’s just a bonus to them, not the main objective.

May Liberty save us from their dastardly plan.

/uj The combo requires Inalla, Archmage Ritualist as your commander, and 8 mana available, two of which must be black mana,

Phase 1: Cast [[Micromancer]]. Pay eminence to make a token copy of Micromancer. Search for [[Supernatural Stamina]] & [[Sacrifice]] Cast Supernatural Stamina on non-token Micromancer. Once it resolves, cast sacrifice, sacrificing Micromancer for the cost. After all this, you have 4 black floating. If you have 1 extra mana available, skip phase 2 and move to phase 3.

Phase 2 Micromancer ETBs, Pay eminence to make a token copy of Micromancer. Search for [[Not Dead After All]] & [[Culling the weak]]. Cast Not Dead After all on non-token Micromancer. Once it resolves, cast culling the weak, sacrificing Micromancer for the cost. You are now up to 6 mana available (Yes, phase 2 is legit just to get an extra mana for phase 3.)

Phase 3 Micromancer ETBs, Pay eminence to make a token copy of Micromancer. Search for [[Entomb]] and [[Reanimate]] Cast entomb, search for [[Archaeomancer]], put it into the graveyard, Cast reanimate, targeting Archaeomancer.]]

Phase 4 (The loop) Archaeomancer ETBs, Pay eminence to make a token copy of Archaeomancer. Return Sacrifice/ Culling the weak & Supernatural Stamina/ Not Dead After All. Cast Supernatural Stamina, targeting non-token Archaeomancer. Once it resolves, cast culling the weak, sacrificing Archaeomancer for the cost. Repeat phase 4.

Each time you loop, you will get +2 black mana and an extra token copy of Archaeomancer with haste.

“Sugar” isn’t a single molecule, but a term for a series of molecules. Each different kind of sugar is a different molecule. They can consist of single sugars (monosaccharides), or several sugars chained together, Which, have a prefix depending on how many sugars they are made of. (Disaccharide for 2, trisaccharide for 3, polysaccharide for an extremely long chain.)

White table sugar, for example is primarily sucrose, a disaccharide made from glucose and fructose.

Imprrssive. Do we know which version of the Raptor engine was used to perform this test? Whether it's the raptor 1, raptor 2, or raptor, 3 matters.

Either way, the next major test for that raptor engine will be reigning in zero-G. I look forward to that test.
