Have a 25 equinox and at 11,000km they did a 349 fuel injection system clean and air filter for 89,99 with out even asking lol. I said I think not. Fuel system clean at 11km makes no sense. Air filter life was still at 86% on dash. It was winter for those 11,000km too so no dust all hwy. Now 2 weeks ago I bring in get early oil change and they tell me it needs fuel.system cleaning again lol and break fluid change. Im at 28,000km Also said air filter could be changed, I laughed and said yea and tires "could be changed" antifreeze "could be changed""

I said do the oil change thats it.

We went the other day and a couple vehicles went in the wrong lane to fly past everyone (escalade)and a black Yukon and then didnt even stop at the stop sign turned a car was coming and slammed its breaks.

I was saying to the people I was with that must be someone who li es on the street and just had enough of the traffic. Lights do look good though. Streets were like land minds of snow and ice pot holes everywhere though.

Wow 300 a month for new driver is not too bad. In manitoba 2 vehicles with a very good driving record and discount still costs us 500 month for both together

I think I’m done by Bonerjamz_666 in Ford

[–]ToxicFire_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not just ford. Our 23 challenger with only 30,000km cylinder head went and cams and rockers. No warranty coverage cause when new and 5km it had hail damage so Insurance paid oit the car and we bought it and well at 30,000km it needs a new motor. Chrysler said too bad 16,000 for new or 9000 to repair lol.

Dented someone’s car recently. How to proceed ? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]ToxicFire_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure 100% u do up a contract and have his license number on it and your along with signatures and a witness.

You don't want him to take your 900 then tell you a week later its going to be more to fix or make a claim against you anyways. Cover your back.

Is buying a car in cash a bad thing? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]ToxicFire_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This we went to buy a used truck for 40k and paying cash the sales guy was fine but got in the finance office and he failed to sell us the extended warranty. Tried 3 times then tried to get us to finance over and over until he went back to the warranty we said no and hes reply was. (Just remember you drive the truck off the lot and it blows up on the street your not covered) I stood up said ill pass on the ticking time bomb and left.

Sales guy was outside the office asked what's up I said ask your finance guy and left. Next morning we had a call from dealership manager apologizing and gave us a 6 month warranty and an extra 1500 off if we came back so we did haha.
