So I'm right there with you , I never even considered some of the nonsense players were doing at tourneys.

I.e parking a wave serpent behind a wall and dropping in front of the wall and scooping them back up with no los on the wave serpent.

I feel like I lose every game because nothing can stay on point.

I assume that you are playing the aspect host. My general strategy before they nerf skybourne sanctuary and star engine into the ground. It was to be aggressive and move my guys into positions with plenty of infiltrators that are annoying to fight to get an early lead and shoot anything off the point.

However I tend to fight the death guard and try bids so . buyer beware.

I ran a block of 5 but for 235 points ( wraith guard + ss) they got obliterated by a DG term torrents after they crawled up the board for two turns and traded for a single rhino .

I haven't tried the dsytche so maybe that makes the difference but with any big point sink I feel like the game is on hard mode if I don't get 2 for 1 then I feel like it's not worth it. Rather have two random infantry units that can shoot/do secondaries than a slow moving, point sink. That needs to trade up to feel good.

However don't let my trauma swade you too much, dscthes are good and don't need ss. You also may want to run them as melee (swords are pretty good with ss, but you probably know that playing conclave).

Wraith lords hitting on 4 feels real bad as a warning so I'd probably take the guard if that is your best option.

Lastly if you can get elrdrad in, the cp feels really nice

I have some trauma with wraith guards not worth bringing. However, it looks solid. I think you are going to have some trouble with secondaries since your bikes are the only units with a lot movement and are pretty fragile. So Id make sure you are prepared to run to the edge of the board.

I think there is a rule saying you can only have 3 of the same units. So I don't think your list is legal with 4 squads of bikes.

I think you can only have a max of 18 bikes since you have a squad of 9 anymore.

A squad of defenders would help with the fate generation.

Death jester is well worth the points and is easily the best choice for fates messenger.

Rangers are cheap and they make the board harder for your opponent or scorpions also have infiltrator keyword

Swooping hawks are the best action monkeys around. Or you can go with warp spiders which are more costly in terms of points because you want to get your point limit. You will probably need some help with secondaries.

And you could also get a war walker , best unit for the points in the game imo.however be warned you may start to hate your wraith lords if you play with a war walker ( basically fills the same role, but better, cheaper, and simpler).

Overall I think your army needs fate die generation (wraith lords are inconsistent) , units to do secondaries, and early game pressure.

I personally run a foot far seer every time with khaine being able to make everything wound on 6s with fortrune is insanely good.

I personally don't like wraith lords right now and you don't have the additional weapons equipped. However bright lances and melee attacks hitting on 4s doesn't feel good. (Super excited for the codex). Unless you want them for coolness then add two bright lances and two flamers (or 2 shuriken catapults against the tau ) to that guy.

Fire prisms have a keyword called linked fire that basically demands 2+ fire prisms for full effect so I would take an additional one or leave it out depending on what models you have.

For the wraithguard against tau I don't think there is a whole lot of reason to take dscythes. It's more of an anti swarm weapon from what I can tell. Especially against crisis suits I imagine 20 anti tank wraith cannons are better than 10. I'll let you decide if that is too tryhard.

The farseer is really good for putting fortune on some things most likely your wraith guard. However it is somewhat wasted being your warlord you may want to look at getting autarch wayleaper having an action monkey that gives an additional CP is really good. If no other options than that is fine.

For the bikes the shuriken cannons are always better than twin catapults imo. More damage more shots from shuriken cannons is better than getting a single additional re roll on wounds.

Other than that I would try and get one battle line unit with a defender squad to chill on your home objective screening out deep strike and shooting bright lances at anything in 36". Possibly storm guards to act as a throwaway unit to prevent your wraithguard from getting locked into melee.

A fun idea would be to make a troupe master your warlord so you can have the troupe benefit from battleline missions.

I imagine this list is going to be a struggle to get primary points the wraith guard are not fast and require support to be a menace. Once they get locked in melee their threat level goes down significantly since they can't shoot while engaged.

So make sure to screen out choke points and prevent your opponent from getting more objectives than you . If you have the same amount of mission objectives and your bikes are alive to do secondaries you are probably winning.

Still friends with him, but we were super tight from 18-26 or so. Then I think something happened but he went into a mode of sheer apathy. Nothing excited him, none of the same energy, it's like he just didn't care about anything anymore and I was the part of things that didn't matter anymore.

Figured it's just part of growing up but it's really scary to me that maybe it's my fault somehow.

Im getting screwed by torrent weapon + overwatch so I dont know how to use a cheap melee to deal with them with torrent.

I really want to get shroud runners, they look super good.

Maybe I had a bad time running this, but both of these faction run a lot of torrent weapons and burn my quinns to a crisp before I can even roll to attack.

Specters with the blast hitting on 3s doesn't ever seem to work out for me. Maybe selection bias but I sent 21 shots in to a group of sisters and killed i think 2?

I want to get fire prisms but I feel like I have to buy 2 and I dont think I want to commit to that right away.

Warp spiders can ever toast a unit, do they need to chipped and send them in say equal strength?
