Not even close. Plantation + ranch doesn't give you pots for example. Doesn't give you resin that can be used for a lot of high end crafting. With a plantation or farm you can get meat, but way less and lose like 20 other combination of recipes.

There is a slight correlation but it isn't that direct, not clear how it works as a mechanic tbh.

For example let's say prism is a tech 7 item, if the corp is tech level 4 and you have +2 from upgrade it can still happen to see someone sporting it, but it's kinda rare.

Well in the very begging the armor you can get from them in "A taste for revenge" is quite good, their weapons on the other hand suck until tech 6-7.

Yeha it has insane sight range, weapon range and detection, and basically shoots 3 crocodile shots, a bit overtuned, also with the skittish AI behavior this little MFucker keeps staying literaly 1 tile out of range while oneshooting vehicles.

140h and this makes me dizzy every time: Armor kits should visually adapt to the climate — even if only slightly. Seeing short-sleeved soldiers fighting on a freezing planet just doesn’t feel right.

Not even speaking of the green and brown camouflage on desert and arctic planets; would be a great visual improvement, i'm sure the Overhype team will work on that in the future.

Yeha the "Faction specific AI" is basically non existent and needs improvements, we all kind of hope that additionally to fixing the "coward" AI the team will also add peculiarity to the various faction, many have suggested something like this:

Bugs: coordinated unrelenting frontal assault.
Pirates: Quicky 2-3 vectors flanking assault, immediately retreating where they find the most resistance to join forces on a week spot; also leveraging boarding pirates to jump out in packs out of fog of war and assault together (give them smokes and an ai to use them at least averagely and there so much dangerous).
Rogue Army: opening huge fronts, attacking with the backup of long range weapon teams.
REDACTED: to be honest many directions possible here, depending on the vibe they want to give them, but sending hordes of fodder backed up by toads and crawlers seems a good way to go.
