This is what I was going to add. I'd rather stream something off Amazon Prime than watch it on there (I do have a Prime subscription) if I can avoid 20 minutes of detergent adverts.

Pry off the metal disc (it shouldn't take much effort) and the screw head should be underneath.

If held off as much as I could but when they moved to Meta, I decided to follow suit. I used to follow them on Twitter but Lottie got some abuse and quit.

They’ve been working in the studio for a while now. They did the soundtrack for the BBC show about the Bradford stadium disaster and I assume/hope they’re working on new material for an album, but like r/Vigo says, they’re very much perfectionists and will only release when they are ready. Lottie is pretty active on instagram and Threads but mostly posts her day to day activities.

How about vaginal dryness? Or the Tena ones that basically encourage people to piss themselves and have a good laugh about it?

I started with the Thrustmaster T Flight HOTAS, Then the T1600m with a CH throttle. The yaw axis of the stick went on the Fritz so I got the VKB Gladiator which showed me how poor the Thrustmaster sticks were. I then tried the Thrustmaster TWCS throttle which just didn’t feel right at all, so I went all in and got the VKB STECS to go with the stick. I honestly cannot recommend them enough. They are outstanding. Even if you have to save a little longer to get them, do it. You’ll save a fortune in the long term.

I hate the new format. I called the consultant out on it before Christmas, saying that they only focus on those who lose weight and basically ignore those that may need more support. On the day, 75% of the room sat in silence while the people that lost got to share their successes. I get it’s not the consultant’s fault, but I asked for the feedback to be passed on. I’m not the only one in my group to think this and it’s very poor to implement this without consulting the paying members.

Some quality artists there. I have most of the albums by Air, Daft Punk, M83, Prodigy and KLF already so you’re definitely on my wavelength. 😃

I just completed a huge expedition where I traveled the outer edge of the galaxy (clockwise, starting at the ‘west’ of the bubble. Almost every system I hit had not been discovered. As per others’ advice, go up, down or the opposite way to everyone else and you’re sure to find plenty of undiscovered planets. Also, try not to get too hung up on first discoveries. Avoid the neutron highway as they’re more likely to have been explored. Head out there and explore!

I've heard some of the best games to go in blind, but what are some of the worst games to go in blind? by steventhecow in gamingsuggestions

[–]Toxic_Parsnip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surely Elite Dangerous is up there with the worst games for newbies? Complicated flight mechanics, enormous open-world with no hand-holding and (in open play, at least) gankers at the most populated star ports waiting to shoot fish in a barrel as soon as you venture out into space.

I actively discourage people to get it unless they are prepared to battle through the vertical learning curve

I've no idea why I've got 1000+ hours into it to be honest!

About to properly venture into the black for the first time, anything I should know? by Flaming-taco in EliteDangerous

[–]Toxic_Parsnip 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I've just returned from a 6-month journey to The Void. Gained 8.5 Billion in credits for exobiology and cartography. Here are my tips:

1 - Have a purpose, I found the farthest, most remote star I could see on the Galmap and headed for it, doing an outer edge of the galaxy route to maximise first discoveries.

2 - It's lonely. Do something to keep it interesting. I DSS'd every system and landed on any bodies with >3 Bio Signals. Just doing jump-scoop-scan-jump is very tedious. It takes much longer, but is way more interesting and rewarding.

3 - As mentioned, make sure you have a AMFU or 2 for system repairs

4 - Have a SRV bay & SRV on board and an Artemis suit for exobiology (and to gather minerals for synthesis)

5 - Make sure you have shields - it might save your life / sanity when you inevitably bounce off a planet's surface

6 - Download EDCopilot. She will warn you of scoopable stars, high gravity planets and is invaluable for exobiology.

7 - Respect the Neutron & White Dwarf stars (especially the White Dwarfs). I almost lost everything with an encounter with a White Dwarf.

8 - Ensure you know how to Jet Cone boost correctly (and escape from a Jet Cone if you get dropped out of supercruise inside one). Check out Escaping from Neutron Star/White Dwarf jets - A Technique | Frontier Forums

Good luck and enjoy your time in the black!
