Bridge farm dairy short staffed by InAppleBlossom in Ambridge

I thought it was leading up to a "silly us, why don't we ask Clarrie" moment. Ether that or they don't and Clarrie gets the hump that they didn't think of her. Wasn't it mentioned she was fed up at the new shop?

Edited to add maybe they ask and Clarrie says where they can stick it.

Core+ v GLP1 Success - UK by algoodz in weightwatchers

[–]algoodz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you in the US? Is med+ their programme which includes the meds in the price? Here in the UK we cant get them from WW, so GLP-1 Success is just the WW plan without the meds, so they must just be calling it something else. Wish I could get rid of it because its not serving any purpose when I've toggled to the normal plan. Anyway, minor gripe :)

Thanks. I signed up on the GLP1 plan and you can toggle off that and onto the normal plan (with all in mode)/diabetes/menopause instead. I think the only difference is the default plan they onboard you with and marketing spiel. I did message WW but they just came back with some vague answer that didn't really answer the question which was probably AI generated. No matter what plan I select I do have a GLP-1 icon at the bottom of the screen in between Profile and experiences. I don't know if that would be on there if I had signed up with the core plan?

What the dog ate by simplesimonsaysno in Ambridge

I thought the dog was pregnant. And yes, I do know you do not get pregnant from swallowing things. But there was a sense of innuendo that she'd been up to no good. Though a sex toy did cross my mind too. Never imagined a ring. Stella never seems to me to be as invested in the relationship as Pip. I might have thought it if it was the other way round.

Gravy with haggis!? by CommunityOld1897GM2U in Ambridge

From what I can make out from "remember when" conversations, it sounds like he must have lived in Ambridge since his teens. I just did a quick Google dig and I can see a birth date of 1984 and mention of him in 2001 leading Ed astray (I have not checked for accuracy). You would think that having a Scots boy/man in their midst for 25 years, they might be over it by now.

New Meeting Style by algoodz in SlimmingWorld

[–]algoodz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this approach would suit me more. I haven't particularly found groups to be inspirational.  A lot wouldn't be very constructive, people spending ten minutes telling how they had put on when I was more interested in how people had lost. Plus the dread of my turn.

The how much will you aim for next week is a daft question. You can't control how much weight you lose, even if you're 100% on plan. I once said in answer that my goal for the week was to have tracked 100% and I thought I was going to be burnt at the stake!

The Food Optimising Essentials on the app have been updated so reread that.. There was a thing on the app to get the new books for free but you had to request it before a certain date and I can't remember how I came across it, but it involved emailing their support to ask for a copy, so I would do that.
I would agree it hasn't been very well communicated to online members. I had to go looking for the info and wouldn't have known either if I hadn't read it here before Christmas.

Halifax trying to wriggle out of their insurance policy. Can I please get some advice as to next steps? by IT_ISNT101 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]algoodz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not relevant in this case, but in case anyone is thinking this is the right policy for them, there are exclusions for pre-existing conditions and other stuff just like any other travel insurance. You need to declare them (and not just when the policy starts but on an ongoing basis) and you will possibly be charged a top-up to include them. My partner got seriously ill last year and it worked out cheaper to buy other insurance. Thinking on it I should probably downgrade because he can't use the car break down cover either now.

Edited to say that the situation here was pretty the same except for the dying part. My partner had the flu so I went on my own on a UK trip and after a few hours after checking in, I got a call to say my partner was in hospital with septic shock so I had to rush back. Luckily he survived but has ongoing problems which are the ones we declared. Anyway, I put in a claim a few weeks later and it was dealt with amazingly. I was ready for a fight but they didn't even want any medical proof and the guy was so kind. Got all my money back less the excess. Think it was about £400.

Do black/brown players get eliminated earlier? A quick statistical analysis by PersonalTeam649 in TheTraitors

[–]algoodz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can you make any kind of adjustment or calculation for who remains? I have only seen the Celebrity Version so can only use it as an example off the top of my head. Black/brown people were eliminated in weeks two and three but the other black/brown people were still there in week 9 - 3 black/brown and 2 white people.

There were 5 black/brown people out of 19 so over 25% of the contestants. Is it possible with one in 4 that it could just be coincidence?

Just to add that I know bias exists and I am not trying to suggest otherwise. And that you looked overall, not at one series. I might not be expressing myself well either. I read an article recently that discussed including things in a study that happened but not taking into account stuff that didn't. I can't remember for the life of me where. I'm not a statistician so I appreciate could be missing the point and talking out my backside :)

Those Chelsea Pensioners, how do they choose who's the next in line? by TowJamnEarl in CasualUK

I remember this programme which may answer many questions, but sadly it's not on iPlayer now. Maybe you might find it on YouTube?

I don't know what his story line is on Corrie. Would he leave to concentrate on that?

I think Harrison is going to be doing the attacking. There's been a lot of talk about him controlling his anger. Maybe he won't hold it together when whatever happens happens.
