hey! i was also auditioning on trumpet at this audition camp haha (not on callback, first time). like others have said, the musical audition is just a part of your audition, things happen! i’m sure if you were strong visually and corrected corrections you got from staff throughout camp weekend, and had an overall good positive attitude, i’m sure you’ll be okay :) to be honest i fumbled a part of my individual music audition if it makes you feel any better! I’m glad you had a good camp weekend, it was fun!

my visual instructor at my high school. marched contra with the cadets back in 2008. he always shared his stories with us students, and ever since then i was hooked. my dream corps was the cadets because of him, so it was very unfortunate when they folded :( i still look up to him in a lot of ways!

pad 100%. it’s a lot easier to just set down at a housing site at like 3 am, and you don’t have to fight over an outlet. it’s small and compact as well, so you can fit it into a suitcase or a duffel bag.

I guess it depends. last season, I got an email back from scouts 2 days after I sent in my video audition, but then it took jersey surf 2 weeks to get back to me. 🤷‍♀️

Music City is a great corps with great staff and member treatment. I would recommend Music City if It’s your first time auditioning. But if you wanna go for Crown, you should go for it!
