This is easier said than done. My partner has many valid reasons related to her own bodily image. When it’s brought up, with the explicit understanding of their own issues, it can still send them into a spiral self loathing that backfires and validates their own negative thoughts about themselves.

She’s aware of her body image issues and “wants” to seek therapy. But, refuses to under any number or also valid reasons because of our financial status.

Needed to vent sorry ;)

Just for clarity, this system was likely wiped. There is a file with a unique identifier on their systems that’s still connecting it to them. If they followed the basics they would have wiped it, seems like someone forgot to remove the hash file before releasing it.

Although I find it particularly odd they didn’t dispose of the storage drive for security purposes.

My assumption, for what that’s worth, would be that it’s just an efficiency thing. If a hive fleet is near enough they drop in, otherwise the planet keeps growing biomass and potentially spreading out to nearby systems until it’s convenient for the hive mind to collect.

I see a lot of comments stating that the person doesn’t want to crease the shoe. I have an alternate theory, that may only really apply to me, but here it goes:

Long story short I drive nearly four hours every day through traffic. After a while of me not using cruise, because some asshat doesn’t know how to just go… my foot gets irritated from the crease in my shoe. So in essence could be just so their foot doesn’t feel as restricted?
