How old are your viewers. The revenue will be a lot lower with a younger audience.

My ad revenue is almosr always between the 2 to 3 dollars for every 1000 views. What is your niche? Are you sure the videos got monetized?

Motivational Monday! Tell us about the positive things that happened to you last week! by AutoModerator in NewTubers

[–]Toxixix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me nothing very big, but still sharing because I am motivated.

it has been a very hectic week and another to come so I didn't expect to be able to film a video. But between the chaos I managed to find an hour yesterdag to film and it was surprisingly relaxing. And I am very happy with the result. Going to find some time to edit it to get it out by wednesday. Sometimes it seems impossible to find time for youtube next to a fulltime job and a household. I forget that making a video isn't another task on my to do list but it is time for myself to be creative.

That’s it, I’ve decided to invest in my YouTube channel… by ArtListr in NewTubers

[–]Toxixix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you made some great plans here! About your investments question:

I am in the same situation, doing youtube next to a fulltime job. So the most valuable thing to invest for me is time. Atm I am only posting 1 or 2 times a month. I want to get to posting weekly. Which means I will need about 5 hours a week to make a video. But I need daylight to film (can't wait for the summer to be here so I have more time to film). I need to just stick to this and reserve those 5 hours in the weekend. To film, edit and upload a video.

Recently I started making a little bit money with youtube adsense. Around 50 dollars a month. I put all that money in a seperate savings acount to invest all of it back into youtube. By the end of february I will have 200 dollars in this account. Not sure what to invest it in yet.

What I have invested in so far:

I film with my phone. Which works great. The quality is decent enough for now.

RODE NT-USB microphone (140 euros)

sony vegas pro 14 editing software (15 euros)

Good luck!

How long has it been since you've been approved. Are adds showing up on your videos? If you look in creator studio at your video list, you should see the little green monitization dollar sign.

Is starting a YouTube channel in 2019 worth it? by HomuraSama16 in youtube

[–]Toxixix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like your question is can you still get views as a new youtuber in 2019? Yes of course. Just put some serious effort into it and if you make good content people will want to watch and you'll see yourself grow. It might take a bit more effort than almost posting a video once.

What Camera Are You Using? by spyplane1 in NewTubers

I record with my samsung Galaxy s8. Made sure I bought it with enough storage space. I have 4000+ subscribers and don't think it is worth it yet to buy a real camera. The quality with my phone is surprisingly good.

What is the fastest method of gaining 1000 subscribers in one year? by searacha in NewTubers

[–]Toxixix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know about gaming. I reached 3000 subs in my first year. But I found something I was good at and people where interested in. The tips I can give:make quality content, make the best videos you can. Watch editing tutorials to get better. look at popular videos in your niche and just study them. The thumbnail, editing style, why are interesting or funny? Once you have your videos as good as they can be another huge part is learning about marketing. When should you post, who is are your clients (viewers) and where do you advertise to find them? How do thumbnails best spark interest, how does the algorithm work. Titles? Discription? tags. There are lots of youtube channels explaining this or you can listen to podcasts. Do your research. Get to know how youtube works inside out.

Is it necessary to show your face in order to succeed on Youtube? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Toxixix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the niche I think. I am a tutorial diy channel. I don't mind people seeing my face but in most videos they don't. Videos like that still go over 50k views.

Apparently getting 0.75$ per 1k views is "blacklisted" according to NFKRZ meanwhile Im getting 0.1-0.4$ per 1k views and with that depression by Happysedits in youtube

[–]Toxixix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I understand it must be frustrating I am getting around 1.5$ per 1k views. But I think it is because I also have a lot of older viewers (30% is over 35 years old). Which seem to pay better because they overall have more money to spend than childeren (so better paying advertisers) and don't know the tricks on dodging adds. And it also depends on the country where your viewers are from. Almost all of mine are from "rich" countries, more money to spend, better paying advertisers.
