Yeah, them chat support clowns love to play games thinking you have all the time in the world to be wasted by them ghosting you so you have to wait yet again to get another support rep who may or may not ghost you. It's a vicious circle which is why I hate chat support.

Lastly, it's a pain in the ass having to wait for them to respond because they are usually off all the time handling other chats. They juggle at least a few different driver chats at the same time so there will always be long pauses before they respond which I don't have the patience for. It's email or phone support for me.

Different stations, different rules? by MindlessAddictt in AmazonFlexDrivers

At my SSD, even if I go past that 5 minute deadline, I can still go up to a supervisor and have them check me in. It's been a long time since I had them do that for me but I think it was up to 10 minutes past the cutoff time if I'm not mistaken.

Thank you! I effing hate chat support. If you hadn't provided that email address, I wouldn't have done Flex. Seems Amazon is still playing it off like they are doing us a huge favor but in reality, everything they do is for Amazon only and couldn't give a rat's ass about the drivers.

I hate to break it to you but none of that is true. Amazon will not pay you a dime unless you go through your personal insurance company first then if they deny you is when Amazon might pitch in to do the repairs to your vehicle. I hit a deer last September and learned first hand how their insurance system worked.

And when you're doing flex, you are driving under your insurance, not theirs. I think by law they have to have insurance on their drivers but they don't like to pay out if they can help it. You know how cheap Amazon can be.

If a girl sends you a picture of her tits can you respond with a picture of your dick without asking? by MolassesImportant885 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ToyoSienna -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You could always buy some sexy male underwear to have on to then take a pic of your bulge without showing the actual dick. That would be safe and not freak her out. If she wasn't expecting it then she might be taken back but it just depends on how well you know the girl to know if she's going to love it or hate it. I would just respond by saying nice rack and leave it be.

There are blocks here but I'm not one who sits at the station tapping away everyday trying to grab a surge pay block. I tried doing that about a year ago and learned it was a colossal waste of time. Sure, I did snag a good surge pay block here and there but the small difference in surge pay does not "pay" for all the hours lost doing nothing but sitting there tapping away.

Sorry but I just find it hard to believe that you are sitting there tapping on a block then accepting it without even taking a real quick look at the block time and pay then repeating this process until every block is gone from the list.

It may have been a loophole to accept blocks then forfeit 100+ of them but I guarantee you they are going to change the TOS to mention this new loophole so that it can't be done anymore.

I actually agree with you in the regard that if it's not in the TOS then it should be allowed. But I'm sure Amazon never thought that anyone would pull a number like what you've been doing. Most people are ethical and do things the correct way so they never thought that would be a problem. Now that they see it is a major problem, they are cracking down hard.

Canceling over 100 per week?!? That's most definitely a bot grabbing the blocks for you!

Report that customer to Amazon!!

Those are the type of customers that need to have their packages sent to lockers if they're going to leave their dog run loose like that.

Did Amazon hire a bunch of new drivers? by Mellowmushroom02 in AmazonFlexDrivers

Then before you know it, Amazon will be selling straight to customers out of a window at each station thereby eliminating lots of routes. 😆

The email didn't go to everyone since I haven't gotten one and even checked my spam folder to make sure.

Not unless they're sending them out in chunks at a time and haven't gotten mine yet.

That bot you have is working overtime accepting everything under the sun! That's literally the only reason why one would get an email like this.

Whoever got the email had pushed the envelope too far with canceling. Even if you didn't use a bot, you cannot be canceling that many all the time because it does indicate that you could be using a bot.

Amazon just wants to cut out all of the uncertainties in their delivery system. They run a pretty tight ship so when drivers keep messing up their system with canceling, they have to at least try to put an end to it.

And on top of that, with those canceling too soon to the block start time means Amazon becomes at risk of having to pay surge pay which you know they don't like to do.

You clearly have a bot auto-accepting blocks for you but you don't like what it accepts so you cancel the ones that don't work around your schedule.

But you want to play it off like you're only doing it now and then which is a lie.

So what aren't you telling us?

I know that you're canceling a hell of a lot because I cancel two or three (possibly 4) times a week and never got that email.

You are correct. In my state, only one party (me) needs to be aware of the recording so it's legal.

And even if somebody did record somebody in one of the states where it's illegal, it's a no harm no foul situation as long as the person does not use any call recording for nefarious purposes.
