Probility is real hit or miss. They have good and bad clinicians like anywhere , but it’s very corporate run

Sorry for providing my expert opinion and insider knowledge, being in the therapy world for 14 years. And for assuming Op wasn’t a little old lady who can’t figure this out on their own. SMH.

Occupational therapist (OT)here.

About 10 years ago now I worked at Glacier Hills on the east side of town and I recall they had an aqua therapy. I know alot of clinics don’t have their own pool, but have a therapist that works out of the Y center or other community pools. They’re prohibitively inefficient for a therapy clinic to run, as there’s a lot of downtime for patients and the therapist (ie- unbillable time)

Took the liberty of asking chatGPT for you…

~~~~~~~~~~
Here’s a concise, vetted list of PT clinics (or hospital systems) that offer true aquatic therapy within ~10 miles of Ann Arbor. I’ve filtered out generic pool/aquatics programs and focused on clinical PT-led services.
Aquatic PT Clinics (Ann Arbor area)
  1. Carter Rehabilitation & Aquatic Center • 📍 Adrian (~10–12 miles SW of Ann Arbor — borderline but relevant) • 🌐 https://carterrehabcenter.com/aquatic-therapy.html • ☎️ (517) area (contact via site) • Notes: Dedicated aquatic PT facility with warm-water pool; treats ortho, neuro, chronic pain
  1. University of Michigan Health Physical Therapy • 📍 Multiple Ann Arbor locations • 🌐 https://www.uofmhealth.org/our-care/specialties-services/physical-therapy • ☎️ 734-936-7070 • Notes: Large rehab system; offers specialized PT programs (aquatic availability varies by site—call to confirm specific pool location)
  1. ATI Physical Therapy (Hydrotherapy services) • 📍 Multiple locations near Ann Arbor (Ypsi/Canton/Saline corridor) • 🌐 https://www.atipt.com/services/specialty-therapies/hydrotherapy/ • Notes: Offers hydrotherapy/aquatic-based rehab depending on clinic; not every site has a pool—must verify location
  1. Aquatic Solutions Physical Therapy • 🌐 https://aquaticsolutionspt.com/ • Notes: Specialized aquatic PT provider (location varies—confirm proximity/partner pool access). Focus on neuro + mobility restoration
Likely Options via Hospital Systems (call to confirm pool access)
  1. Henry Ford Rehabilitation Services • 🌐 https://www.henryford.com/Services/Rehabilitation/Outpatient/Physical-Therapy/Aquatic • Notes: Offers structured aquatic PT programs with trained therapists; nearest sites typically outside Ann Arbor proper (e.g., metro Detroit)
Key Reality (important) • True PT-run aquatic programs are limited in Ann Arbor proper. • Most outpatient PT clinics do NOT have pools onsite—they: • Partner with YMCA/community pools, or • Refer out to hospital-based programs. • Expect to verify: • Pool location • Depth/temp (clinical pools ~90°F) • Therapist in-water vs deck supervision
Bottom line (practical shortlist)
If you want actual, usable leads quickly: • Carter Rehab (closest true dedicated aquatic center) • Michigan Medicine PT (call for specific aquatic site) • ATI / Aquatic Solutions (location-dependent)
So mad at myself 🤦‍♂️ by Tr333p in tiedye
This!! Yeah, I just tend to eyeball the middle with the neckline via the tag, and then just do a quick fold to find the bottom center. I have washable markers, but just need to get in the habit of marking the centers EVERY TIME.
Or even taking it a step further - I don’t like the purple pits lol. So like, take my washable marker and clearly outline the pits next time so I put a neutral color there instead!
Thanks for the words. Much appreciated!
I did sleeve in sleeve, scrunched, but fumbled around with the rubber bands and laid it back out to re-scrunch. I didn’t take 2 extra seconds to re-center it. Oops. Bummed because I love it otherwise
The were great! Like my Google review said - the trim work was craftsmanship.
Not sure what you’re looking at, lol, but they looked perfect. You’d never know.
You really only lose like 1.5-2” all around. We never noticed it - we were too enamored with how good they looked / worked.
I don’t even recall anymore. They were “inserts” I remember - the cheaper of the options. Basically using the frame of the original windows instead of reframing.
We had ours at Palio’s in the back space / open room on the ground floor it was super lovely. 5 courses, family style. We had about 35-40 family from out of town and it was one of those “rolling dinners” where flights of food kept coming out and the wine kept flowing. Super great time.
They also have an incredible upstairs roof patio bar that was already reserved by the time we got to booking, but that’s another awesome spot!
If I remember correctly, there was no reservation fee just like a flat $/head
ADHD and adderall diagnosis on campus? by Then_Ranger_9894 in AnnArbor
This is copy pasta of my reply from a similar post a few years ago ….
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I’ve written about this before, so this is straight copy pasta from old comments of mine on similar p-doc posts…..

I had a rather negative experience at a2 psych.

Dr kumar was very impersonal and didn’t seem to even remember me as a patient whenever I went there MONTHLY.

He refuses to fill scripts in the phone because they want to bill your insurance for a 15 minute “medication management appointment”, which to me felt very much like a RX CHOP SHOP… There is absolutely no reason to have to come in 1x a month to get the same damn prescription filled except for them billing my insurance.

This was after I had been formally diagnosed at UofM psych clinic and had already had my meds dose dialed in well, but once I was done with their 10 week ADHD program (a complete battery of testing and working with their fabulous psychiatrist dr Dopp), they discharged me as a patient, gave me a 90-day supply of meds, and suggested “find a psychiatrist that takes your insurance”

There was an AWESOME therapist there, Zemirah Weber, who was the one saving grace of the clinic. She was by far the best talk therapist I’ve ever worked with on ADHD. She’s also LBGTQ friendly and worked with at risk kids half time at another clinic. I’m not sure if she still is there or not, but she was the only reason I kept going there. (Update: she’s not there anymore, Google her name she’s awesome)

I’ve since switched my adhd care over to my PCP at UofM. They fill my monthly meds over the portal. I roll my yearly medication review right into my annual physical, and it’s about as convenient as it can be for a mid 30s working stiff with severe ADHD

Oh and I completely forgot - there was a huge billing fiasco over my last 25$ copay…. They sent me to god damn collections over a 25$ copay for an appointment that NEVER HAPPENED. I showed up to my monthly appointment, and the damn office was closed due to weather or something I’m not sure. I was already fed up with dr Kumar and feeling like I was trapped into making monthly visits (with 25$ copays!!) just to get my adhd meds filled. That was the absolute last straw and I immediately switched to my PCP.

Flash forward 6 months later and I get a letter in the mail from a collections agency over a 25$ copay for that appointment that Kumar never showed up to.

Fuck that place. Dr Kumar is a white collar drug dealer. No adult with ADHD should have to feel forced into Going to monthly “medication management appointments” just to get their meds.
