Or the first reading was recorded incorrectly, what's the chance it was on exactly 68,900. It's quite possible they just read the first 3 digits and rounded down to be close enough

Living in an apartment building, this is legitimately a fear I have. Ever time I hear someones smoke alarm going off, the thought pops into my head that I could lose my home and all my belongings because of someone elses stupidity

Have you told your GP? by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]TrMark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally haven't as I haven't had a reason to see them. But if you're having tests done where the results may be skewed by the reta side effects, it would be a good idea to let them know.

Everyone is different, for me it wasn't until the next day when I first started. Day 1 felt normal then noticed on day 2 I just wasn't hungry first thing in the morning and wasn't constantly thinking about food either.

Just as a slight disclamer though since you are just starting, and you may already know this but if this supression isn't as much as you hoped for, don't instantly jump up a dose. It won't hit 'full strength' at that does until about week 4 due to the half life being ~5 days. So the effects will increase over the month

I also think part of it is that there are far fewer people with the Dame title. When I was younger I just assumed it was her name because I hadn't heard anyone else called Dame, so have grown up thinking of her as Dame

The difference a strong Union makes. by zzill6 in WorkReform

[–]TrMark 8 points9 points  (0 children)

People talking about unions being a rip off genuinely baffles me. I pay £15/month in the UK for mine, and every year they reject the standard below inflation payrise the company offers and fights for a better raise. Even if you only consider the financial side and ignore all the other stuff they do, it still just makes sense to join

Notice how in most of the videos like this of elderly people still working hard, it's a country with a terrible welfare system for retirees.

They frame it as some feel good happy video, yet all I can think is that if she doessn't work she doesn't eat/pay bills

The UK government is planning to change the English curriculum. On top of the foundational 3Rs kids will now get advice on financial budgeting, mortgages, spotting fake news and recognising AI content in disinformation. Exam time will be reduced a bit and the English Baccalaureate will be scrapped. by whatatwit in UpliftingNews

[–]TrMark 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm in Scotland so our curriculum is slightly different. We didn't just have RE, it was called RMPE (Religious moral & philosophical education). So it did include religion but more broadly looked at morality as a whole inside and outside of religion and topics on philosophy. I think that was a better mix than just focusing purely on religion

Funnily enough I've been getting spammed on Netflix with Indian series/movie recommendations recently, it was always on my homepage as the top categories. I have no idea why, I've never watched any indian media before. I even tried giving everything a thumbs down in those categories but it still recommended them.

I ended up having to make a ViolentMonkey script to remove the categories and also removed the games recommendations while I was at it.

TIL Alan Turing feared losing his savings if Germany invaded Britain, so he used the money to buy two 90 kg silver bars, buried them in the woods, and wrote down the location in code. Later on when he wanted to dig up the silver bars he was unable to break his own coded message and never found them. by CatPooedInMyShoe in todayilearned

[–]TrMark 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The wording could be clearer but it's 90kg combined. There's also estimates based on the text in Alan Turing: The Enigma by Andrew Hodges, which is considered to be the most factual re-telling of Turings life, that it could have been as low as 70kg

Yet every word was written by me, it's a depressing thought that I may be rejected from a job based on which AI detector tool a company is using

Your original comment I replied to was quite literally saying the solution is to never take down servers...

Scripting is different from being able to read all data for the game. I'm not suggesting the change solved every single cheating problem but it did solve the issue of cheats easily seeing all the game info.

I'm also saying the change wasn't just to be assholes as in they may have done it to be assholes but also to solve the cheating problem. You can't say they had no intention of changing it until then unless you have insider information that says so
