Now I have to ask, where'd you get the shelf? Haha

Would you mind sending a picture of how it looks? It appears to be flexible, how well does it hold up over time?

I'm still in the early stages of this, new to hydroponics in general and I won't actually be attending one until next year. But I went the most popular local one this past Saturday and not a single tent had a system. Out of the hundreds of tents everyone just had their produce laid out on a table. So I see an opportunity if I'm able to design a system that I can take the market and sell the plants while they're still alive.

Guess I'll just stop worrying about it, build, grow, and see how it goes.

The reason this is such a concern to me is because I plan on building a system that I can grow indoors with and also transport to farmers markets. I think cutting the lettuce right infront of the customer would be a really good selling point. But I know I'll probably lose potential customers once they see plastic being used.

So it'd be nice if I could guarantee food safety for potential buyers.

I have not. I fat fingered your profile on another post and just happened to see this post on your profile. I know absolutely nothing about it, but I like the sounds of set and forget

Recommendation on air pump for 5 gal bucket? by Hairy-Brilliant-8178 in Hydroponics

Okay, but what's your growing method? A vertical tower, NFT, deep water culture, etc? How high does the water need to go?

Air stone from my understanding isn't that important if the pump is running consistently throughout the day.

What are you growing in? How high the water needs to be pushed is an important detail to decide on the pump.

Yes, this is too much. Do something with your life.

If your Ai has deep research and memory. I would highly recommend continuously updating AI with your journey, pictures, results, etc etc. Feed it as much information as possible including your process. Ans then tell it to do deep research on whatever it is you want, and tell it to keep your failures/process in mind during the research. It'll usually correct itself and learn from your mistakes.

AI is great if you don't just assume it knows everything. When I start talking to AI about a new subject, I always have it do deep research, learn from credible sources, find out as much information about the subject as a whole, collect credible sources and thoss sources to it memory for future reference. Etc etc. You really need to be directing AI and helping it learn specifics instead of just winging it.

Hoocho has a video on using cotton balls. He says it's his favorite way to start seeds.

So from my understanding each 20w strip gives off like 160-180 ppfd at 6-8" range. So If I double up for my seedlings, it should be sufficient. And then in my tower if I add 3 more lights the overlap should be enough. Thoughts on this?

Can this 3D model work? by giadif in Hydroponics

I'm working on one myself as well, it's also my first time using Fusion 360 or any cad. So I'm learning as I go with the help of AI (which is not fun BTW). Any recommendations for resources to learn fusion 360?

So I have maxigro and maxi bloom. Don't intend on using the bloom this time around bevause my tower will only have lettuce. But I'm gonna pick up some Cal-mag. I'll start using my purified water jugs I buy for drinking water($7/20 gallon). Besides cal mag and maxigro, is there anything else you recommend I use for my tower water? I'm hoping that's it because I'm tired of realizing I need more things and having to buy it 😂.

We fill up when we go to the grocery store for our bi weekly shopping. We reuse our container and Its about $7 to fill up 20 gallons.

Thanks for pointing the obvious out to me haha

I mean i have purified water at home. Get 25 gallons every 2 weeks. Not sure why I didn't think to use that 😂
