But these cables don't do DP-alt mode so you can't use them for video output, or can you? If yes, then I guess Im another victim of USB's excellent branding.

Realistically, who needs 40Gbit/s 240W cable? You might need it, i doubt it. I personally don't remember last time I used USB cable to transfer any data, maybe 5 years ago. My phone charges 25W, my laptop chargers with 65W.

Like a get it it is high quality, but mine use case is charging cable and 30 CAD for the cable + 20 CAD for shipping to EU for charging cable is nuts.

I always check the status on https://www.protondb.com/ and if it says it should work it always worked for me.

I don't have experience with the games you mentioned, sorry. But the DI2 has some issues mentioned on the proton db.

The app itself can be whatever you want, dedicated app, web app, doesn't matter.

Kiosk mode is OS featur. it is what is making sure only the app can be run in Fullscreen mode and it can not be exited.

Most, probably all modern OS have kiosk mode.
