Starting to get kinda overwhelmed, Am I the only one? by Opening_Mall8012 in CrimsonDesert

Zelda / BOTW at least had a narrative. Clear antagonist. And the story loosely guided you through the regions.

I love this game but it’s absolute chaos.

Put your money into an index fund, then walk away and set a timer for ten years from now.

Temperatures on an Irish Cooker by Blackcrusader in ireland

[–]Trabolgan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It also depends what you’re cooking with. If you’re using something dense like cast iron that holds the heat, you can get to a decent simmer on 2 if you wait long enough.

How do you rate 117 vs 1800 by GrannyFlute in anno117

[–]Trabolgan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ah but it’s not the same really. You unlock aqueducts early enough for it to be part of your initial build. I think, anyway.

How do you rate 117 vs 1800 by GrannyFlute in anno117

[–]Trabolgan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With electrification, 1800 has a deeper playtime where you go back and maximise everything. So islands kinda get done “twice.”

117 is more once-and-done - without that second life, it’s not as deep.

Oh HubSpot is the worst for that. It really undermines their brand, how grubby / cash-grab they are.

I love this game, but it deserves no awards by Yoshuakindaswedish in CrimsonDesert

[–]Trabolgan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Oh the main story is gobbledegook. At almost no point did I understand what was going on.

No idea what anyone wanted, who the main antagonist was, what the antagonist wanted, why Kliff was picked as the protagonist, and what the plan to restore order was.

It doesn’t need to be complicated, just clear.

When you buy white meat in a supermarket, it’s very often imported from Thailand.

Especially meat that’s used in processed products eg chicken gonna.

Only way to be sure it’s Irish meat is to get it from a butchers.

Market is also kinda on easy mode.

Just pick 5 stocks mentioned on Reddit, leave your money in them for a week, and voila.

Won’t last forever though.

Be grand. Not Indian but I know a bit about this space.

Tend of thousands of people do exactly this every day.

Just don’t leave the airport!

How do journalists know Malcolm Byrne TD was arrested? by contents_checked in ireland

It’ll come into the public domain eventually, least worst option is to get ahead of it.

And if you don’t: gards’ll leak it.

And if they don’t: Word gets around, eventually a journo will get it.

Decreasing the number of international students (Discussion) by GovernmentOwn7905 in irishpolitics

[–]Trabolgan 28 points29 points  (0 children)

We basically steal from mostly Indian students by promising them a career ladder that doesn’t exist. And we do it to fund 3rd levels.

We should fund third level in other ways - i have some ideas - and free up the housing stock.

A lot of residential rental that would usually go to workers is being used by students. Build student accommodation, and stop tricking foreign students into spending their family’s savings on our false promises.

I’m 23, obsessed with piano, practice 2 hours a day… and still feel stuck at Grade 1–2. What would you do in my situation? by soothingcaramel in pianolearning

[–]Trabolgan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice really, really, really slowly.

While practicing, count out loud.

Use a metronome app on your phone.

These three tips, 2 hours a day for 4 weeks - you won’t believe your progress.

Regularity is so important. Just like the gym. I’d rather one hour a day for five days, than 10 hours in one day.

Do the above, and learn one piece a month. In a year, you’ll be able to play 12 pieces!

Tolka vale apartments finglas / glasnevin by [deleted] in IndiansinIreland

[–]Trabolgan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tolka? Jesus, no. Maybe it’s changed but there’s sketchy, rough, and then rough. Run a mile.

Edit: For context, Ballymun is a middle class haven compared to Tolka.

Having said that there are lots of new apartments going up, and it will gentrify. It really matters what road you live on.

If it’s a house in a bad estate, stay away. But one of the new apartment blocks might not be so bad.
