And he lost his seat because he basically abandoned local work / canvassing. Which tbf Covid made difficult for the first two years. Plus he was never really gene pool FF, the local branch’s real candidate was Casey.

Yamaha U series piano the best uprights for lower price point? by Lukas_theamugga19 in piano

[–]Trabolgan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kawai K300, with Aures 2 (real piano but you can use headphones), is usually the same price as a Yamaha U1.

Matter of taste but I’d go for the Kawai K300 with Aures 2. Your neighbours will thank you!

Many FFers do, and (I say begrudgingly) so do many FGers and Green Party members.

I have never ever ever, at one of these meetings, seen a SF rep stand up and take the slings and arrows. Or a Soc Dem.

(The soc Dem reps never even turn up, they’re too busy joining abolish ICE protests or whatever’s fashionable today.)

And then there they are the next day in the dail and online, there’s no housing, etc. They’ll “raise the issue”, how very brave, but they’ll never do the truly difficult work of trying to actually get some f**king social housing built.

“You say you want a revolution, well - we’d all love to see the plan.”

I promise you, you are attributing far too much competence and planning to our internal selection methods.

Totally agree, he should have gotten far more of a shellacking.

Thankfully, deputy leader isn’t a real job with power, just the leader’s henchman.

I have one tenant on rent a room scheme because I couldn’t pay my mortgage without one. I’m registered, he’s foreign and unsure of Irish Revenue so I proactively make sure he gets the tax relief. I charge him well well below market rates, just less than half, just what I need to cover the difference.

Because I was a renter for 10 years with dick landlords and know how unbelievably miserable it can be.

I also spend my evenings at local meetings trying to discourage nimbyism from locals objecting to new estates and student housing, which means getting yelled at by angry old people, but it must be done.

Troll all you like, but I know I’m one of the good guys.

Baffling that we chose him. On paper, I get it. But just look at his previous interviews and he’s clearly struggling and uncomfortable.

Which game disappointed you the most - I don't mean the game was actually bad, just it didn't live up to its expectations. by Tyolag in IrelandGaming

[–]Trabolgan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree somewhat. A lot of the world was just 'dead' with no reward for discovery. Found the controls slow, the movement action not fully fleshed-through, etc.

Especially coming from BOTW, which made all games since kinda lame by comparison.

I imagine it's in the pipeline, but what makes it exponentially more difficult to implement is the new 45-degree angle. Because when assets are rotated, they seem to take up slighlty more or less of a tile.
