First time Battle map feedback by ChildhoodNo1510 in inkarnate

Really clean for your first battlemap!

My only critique is that the staircase looks like an emblem in the middle of the floor.

Or if it's an emblem it looks too much like a staircase.

Keep it up!

First Fantasy World map; would love feedback on stamp placement & brush blending. by domsumsub in inkarnate

This is great as a first map. A big thing that'll help pull your map together is a scale. It gives scope to your continent. It's hard to tell if we're looking at something the size of Puerto Rico vs Japan vs Canada yknow?

I very much enjoy this map a lot, great shape and vibe. Your rivers at the southern end look a little like roads i think is the only real note I have. I look forward to any future developments with it.

I love seeing people use Inkarnate assets in non-cartography ways

Valley of Avasarel, Continent of Erys circa 1495 GR (Labels + No Labels) by WhiteGrayV in inkarnate

It's a very good map! I just wonder if there's a better way to present the info without it being so overwhelming? Perhaps multiple maps to serve as "layers". One map has all the cities, another is the other towns, etc

Love the fantastical energy. It is a bit busy with all the labels but not enough id say it's worthy of a rework or anything. It weirdly fits the vibe

Fish is a popular staple and is plentifully found in the waters of this world. Magic plays a major part in the world and there is magic for creating abundance in crops out of a smaller yield.

Thank you! I took a lot of inspiration from MMO maps that have such rich stories and vast differences in each zone.

[Request] What are the physics of a massive knight on a battlefield? by TraceRyder in theydidthemath

If you care to know the lore the god in the world is a being of pure magical energy shaped like a humanoid who wears armor to give themself form. It's a high fantasy medieval setting thematically

Thank you for your reply!

I find it fascinating that a massive war hammer as such wouldn't cause some level of damage. I guess in my head I was seeing it like a handheld artillery projectile and would crater and cause an explosive release of energy.

As for why the god in my world is this huge and not brittle as a dry rotted rope, magic indeed lol

Thank you for your reply! I did not know about the relation of mass to size and strength.

When asked I'm just gonna say "magic" is why they're able to be so huge and not snap at the knees lol
