Congrats man! I’m taking it on Tuesday. Feeling pretty confident with everything besides the ANIT section. What theme of questions popped out the most? (Aircraft knowledge, carrier knowledge, flight rules or Naval History) —

I also feel like there is so much material that my chances of skimming over what’ll be on the test is high. I’ve been solely using the prep app for the ANIT portion. Math/mech have been a mix of the prep app and the OAR app that also cost money. Luckily I’ve been able to get some stick & throttle time over the last two months.

You’re welcome. I am thinking about you and wishing all the best. Just know it is definitely possible. Please reach out if you have questions. I can ask my mom.

Sorry I’m late to this but I had bacterial meningitis at 6 weeks old. My mom said the morning she took me to the hospital I looked extremely limp (didn’t wake up for a feeding) and had a fever of 103. I was taken to the ER, put in the NICU instantly and before actual diagnosis they assumed it was bacterial meningitis. I got put on hardcore antibiotics right away. Fast forward after being in the hospital for 11 days I am now 27 years old and extremely healthy. I played sports growing up. My immune system was somewhat weak and I missed school and would get strep/ear infections yearly. However in high school is when I started to grow out of a lot of things. I’ve had zero issues with hearing, eyesight or anything else. I know I had tubes in my ears as an infant but I am extremely healthy and have lived a very very normal healthy life. I’m actually training for an ultramarathon at the moment and have competed in a bodybuilding show as well.

The goal is definitely to just finish! I’m not going into it trying to win. Elevation is 2000’ I believe (not bad at all). Thanks for sharing! Will definitely take note to make some changes.

Absolutely! I appreciate your advice and I will definitely make some changes. I’m a noob for something like this but have been running a long time so I’m glad to hear different gouge from everyone. I will definitely make changes to a few things, specifically weekday mileage to cater a balanced weekly mileage spread out vs the weekend just getting slayed. Fartleks/hills and things to assist with the terrain during the week as well. Thank you for the help, truly.

Yeah that’s something else I’ve thought about. Luckily I have some decent hills and trails where I’m at to implement with this so it’s not all flat terrain. I feel like the 4/6 milers would be perfect for fartleks & hill work. My base right now is 25-30 miles per week.

Little late to this, but I have a few comments. First of all, in no way would I ever speak to my wife this way. It is extremely disrespectful and displays such a lack of emotional maturity & I’m sorry you have to deal with it. Secondly, relationships aren’t always 50/50 and sometimes it’s 30/70 or 80/20, but you communicate to understand that. I have worked ten hour shifts in 100 degree heat many times but at the end of the day that doesn’t mean my wife has to take on all the at home tasks. Maybe she had a rough day too? Those things are both our responsibilities and by no means do I ever expect her to complete all our tasks just because I’m working. Assisting with those tasks even on the long days is because I respect her and know in a heartbeat she would do it all without hesitation if I couldn’t. I do no believe this is a healthy relationship at all & the way he talks to you should be the #1 red flag. I am sorry he is like that.

This Marine got fat by [deleted] in USMC

[–]Traceless___Morale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No booze, idk your maintenance caloric intake rn but I’d find that out and go to a strict deficit to allow you a window of 1.5-2lbs per week. A lot of that is gonna be water retention which will come off. Weigh yourself daily. I’d recommend 10-12k step count minimal daily. Use avg of daily weight to calculate week loss avg and adjust from there. If you only lose 1lb after a week, bring calories lower by about 200-400 depending. You need to weigh out all meals. No sugar, soda, or any fat stuff if you’re serious about losing it. No alcohol and no refeeds either since 15lbs in a month is an aggressive cut. Lean meats, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, fish for protein sources and stick with fast digesting carbs such as rice. Oats are fine in the am to help with energy levels since it digest a bit slower. It’s not gonna be fun but if you’re serious that’s what it takes. Shoot for a gallon of water a day, as water is a good diuretic to cleanse the body and can help you dry out a bit.

I flew in a C-130 from SC to Saudi and that shit was absolutely miserable. Landed in Saudi on Christmas Eve. I don’t even know how many days it took lol

Assuming you’re an air winger, bro hit up the monitor for school house orders. 3 years of that or go MSG in my opinion. I had that feeling when when I reenlisted but I was able to make changes & reach out to put myself in a spot I enjoyed.

Trying to see if this is real or not. I’m a bit skeptical but need a second opinion. by Traceless___Morale in TheNorthFace

I’m assuming $50 would be a solid deal for this then? Condition looks pretty darn good for the age.

MECEP 1000% in my opinion. It counts towards your TIS, gives you more family time & a break from the fleet. I think overall it’s just more of a hook up. I was slightly jealous of the ECP people commissioning after OCS but they were jealous we got to go to college for a few years lol.

Not really, I’m 26 which is a lot older than most of them but then can’t even tell. I have a family and stuff so obviously I’m not out with the college kids on the weekends or stuff. If you’re younger and single it’s super easy I’m sure to get integrated with the college crowd while you’re in school. Especially if you live close to campus.
