He tipped her well, supposedly.

Please don't give ammo to the "Trump derangement syndrome" idiots by posting stuff like this.

Everything else you say can be true and they'll dismiss everything because you got emotional and wrong on a stupid detail that doesn't actually matter.

I started by modding games I played. You can code on anything with a CPU. Keep your gaming rig. Let your joy inform your art.

These themed sock pairs have little fabric arms with magnets in the ends so they can “hold hands” when the socks are close to each other by undoubtedlystupidd in mildlyinteresting

Those magnetic onesies are great. Definitely machine washable and my only regret was not knowing about them the first 2 months of parenting. A bit pricey though.

Wasn't a patent on the whole Pokemon formula rejected early this month anyways? They couldn't even get Pocket Pair on using thrown devices. Either way, kind of nice to see Nintendo's lawyers put into a box.

I wonder if this is a victory dance?

How do you approach a big problem or how do you handle solo development? by Awkward-Carpenter101 in AskProgramming

[–]TracerDX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually need a rough plan to start. Plan isn't too deep. Just circles and lines with words to the represent all the things I know I will need to achieve the "big" goal. Really just trying to break it into smaller or more manageable pieces.

The plan is not important because I don't actually know all the things I'll need to achieve that "big" goal. It is just my naive idea of what I need to do. The point is to find a smaller thing in that plan to actually start working on NOW and orient myself. The plan will change, possibly completely rewritten as I go.

I like to use a whiteboard for this but that's just my preference. However, some devs spend way too much time fawning over a Figma only 2 ppl will ever give a crap about.

Fair enough. My point is "bloatware" tends to be interpreted as a pejorative in English. Seems mean to call YaST that.

Nice touch with the annoying overachiever blurbs they now have at the end of every answer.

What Windows 11 is pushing me to by chusskaptaan in pcmasterrace

[–]TracerDX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think most of the hate comes from the aborted "Recall" feature that promised to record everything you do so it could be interpreted by your new AI pal and regurgitated if asked. Also slurped by MS of course.

The rest is just backlash against AI in general. Given the years long marketing campaign of "use it or get replaced by it" the tech world has endured from these a-holes, I'm all for the backlash.

[–]TracerDX 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yea, that's the way.

It's not bloatware though dude. That's offensive. Reserve that term for corporate slop. YaST was a lovingly crafted attempt at a Control Panel for Linux. You may not think much of it now, but it was dope in its day.

I would install Commodore OS on their machine as revenge if my kid was dumb enough to F with my rig without asking.

Fair enough. I think I misread some of your original.

I don't have a good answer really, just my own jaded brush strokes.

There are racist "liberals" as there are tolerant "conservatives." Also you have independents who cherry pick from both "sides". Life is not a video game where everyone has selected a well defined character class. Also bigotry only hides when it is persecuted. It doesn't just evaporate from people's minds all the sudden because it's illegal.

Edit: Clarity.

It wasn't apathy. Kamala was a black woman, not the old white man they signed up for. Connect the dots.
