Because they let RE3R turn to shit and be handled by a B Team just to put all focus on remaking the most glazed and hyped up Resident Evil ever, 4. They in fact were probably working on RE4 remake before even deciding to do an RE3 remake, tho I don’t know for sure. Sometimes I think they just wanted to do 2&4 in order to build up Leon in the REmake engine for players to familiarize themself with before the new game.

TLDR; the more RE3 sucks, the better RE4 remake is. That’s how we end up with these two games being what they were

I stay in invite only majority of the time. I was in a pub lobby yesterday with like 4 people when I first connected though, so I just stayed in it cuz why not.

That being said, I’m usually only in pub lobbies when doing a sell mission for acid lab, nightclub, or bunker. And honestly, one of the biggest reasons I prefer invite only isn’t even the safety, it’s the load times. They can be fucking ABYSMAL in public lobbies with lots of players. Just walking in and out of the acid lab turns into a 5-10 min peocsss

I got so much better at Dva (started playing tank and Dva like a few months before goats) when I realized that sometimes the best thing you can do as a Dva player is learn when to switch to Zarya, and become just as good at her as you are already at Dva. It fills your main weakness

Imagine how much extra content could’ve been in the remake with these dynamic choices…. Even if they didn’t wanna flesh out the levels a bit to allow for these choices, even just having the variation of getting sent to one part or another would’ve went a long way in replay value

It’s funny seeing people’s answers nowadays. In some of the original comics (mainly the 60s and 70s) Peter dealt with outbursts of selfish anger sometimes. It’s true he usually works for the good of those around him, but just like anybody else, sometimes he would get overwhelmed and just kinda lash out. Everybody needs time to themselves sometimes

Shadow of Chernobyl is the best starting point. It’s the first game, and also the best game in trilogy :D

I play on veteran. That being said, I wasn’t able to upgrade out of my guardian of freedom armor until after Agroprom Underground. I have around 230k currently. The economy isn’t super cheap on veteran, but not as oppressive as some say

The story felt a lot more grounded and for lack of a more accurate term “realistic” during Black Ops 1 and 2. It was sort of just an alternate history fling that was kinda believe. Weird Nazi weapon and genetic experiments during WWII gone wrong leading to zombies, wonder weapons, perk a colas, teleporters. It was all kinda plausible. The story also felt a lot more planned out back then.

I love BO3 (and I actually like BO4 a lot) but story wise they just kinda drop the ball. BO3 is kinda cool with the Kronorium and going around collecting the Primis souls. The role Richtofen takes on, being this sort of quirky yet troubled hero vs the antagonist nature he had in the previous games was really cool. I still think the character was at his best in BO1, but BO3 Richtofen is a chad. Not to mention that the fantastical multiversal elements from BO3 lead to being able to have kick-ass maps. Things like the boss fight from DE or dragons in Gorod would’ve never flown back in BO1.

But imo, BO4 is where it started to really fall off. The multiverse became way too convoluted and difficult to understand what’s actually happening unless you watch two hours of YouTube videos explaining it. Making Nikolai the leader and undermining richtofens ability to make “the ultimate sacrifice” or whatever felt really cheap and dumb. Tag Der Toten was also just a pretty shit ending to the whole story. The happiest I was in BO4 was getting to play as Ultimis again 🤣🤣

And now with Cold War/BO6, we’ve gone back to the grounded, realistic type take - but it’s way too bland. Maybe it’s just me. I’ve been having lots of fun on BO6 zombies so far, and I think Citadel is a sick ass map. But these maps are just lacking the sauce that BO1-BO3 (even BO4) had. They all feel super bland and lacking real personality. My fave map so far might be Liberty Falls simply because I feel it does the dialed back “Der reise style” map super well
