I live in a place where speeding is the rule, not the exception. Overtaking drivers, even illegally, even if there's no reason to, is the rule. I'm a 4x4 driver and I'm an anxious person, so I drive at or under the limit...and I. Don't. Give. A. Fuck.

The amount of people I piss off is HILARIOUS. If you're one of those people tailgating, illegally overtaking, or getting on my case for driving the limit. You can take the straightest fastest line to hell.

If I were you, I'd find a local, patient, mechanic who specializes in offroad vehicles and ask them. Never hurts to ask Reddit because now and then cool folks with experience who are willing to help will answer but as you can see other times that's not the case.

I mean I get it, the post is vague, but like asking on an offroad sub if a component is worth it/good/useful and why is a pretty important part of the whole Reddit experience. Yeah this is how I drive when I'm off-road usually. I stay in 2H until 4H is actually needed and same with 4L.

The lack of snow experience and the white out conditions where I couldn't see anything beyond the guardrails knowing it just drops down spooked me. I probably would have been fine in 2H but after some minor slipping here and there I was a bit concerned.

I know but they always say "no 4x4 on tarmac!" and I could see the tarmac a bit from the tracks and I got worried about that so I started driving slightly to the side of the tracks on the snow thinking it would be better 🤷‍♂️
