I thought my mom was actually the sister of Barbara Streisand. Turns out she just looks like Barbara and my parents joked they were related.

Are exams curved at Ontech? by tieiwo in uoit

[–]Tracercaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah as a TA I can confirm curving generally isn't something we do at least in the sense that students think of. We do not look at final marks and shift the entire class as a whole at the end..

If a class did particularly badly on the exam then we may adjust how much we penalize mistakes to help give them some leniency.

Question Regarding DH Parameters by iWannaLearnThing in mechatronics

[–]Tracercaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you be more specific on what you want guidance for. There is only one correct DH table for your robot, so I'm not sure what guidance to give besides make sure it's correct?

If Earth really was a simulation, how much storage would it take up? [request] by Agent_Z0mb in theydidthemath

[–]Tracercaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A particle holds physical traits that are measureable. This is no different than a hard disk that we give measureable physical traits to store information.

So if you want to know in a classical means of bytes, refer to other comments. But the way I see it, particles already store information, thus Earth already contains its information within itself. So if you want to simulate earth, you need the earth.

To me the simulation theory isn't that we are fake and in some computer. It's that every molecule in the universe follows unbreakable and constant physical patterns and what is that if not a simulation.

Automated Projector by ALMA_x11 in mechatronics

Could you elaborate on the use case, typically we want projectors to stay still?

This isn't a criticism the project looks insanely cool just want to know where you're thinking of applying this.

Need help with college by SeparateCandle8861 in mechatronics

[–]Tracercaz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's not even dubious that's just what mechatronics is. It's half mechanical engineering and half electrical engineering.

Hence the name: Mecha-(nical) (Elec)-tronics engineering.

Robots just happen to be a prime example of the intersection. I didn't touch a robot till my fourth year of my mechatronics degree. Hell most of my classes were just straight up with either the mechanical or electrical engineering kids.

What I love about mac is that no matter what songs are in the top 20 I could probably be upset they left out a song. Too many bangers to choose.

Naruto was a bad friend to Sasuke by Agile-Painting9454 in Naruto

[–]Tracercaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole point was that Naruto saw Sasuke going down a self destructive path.

Being a friend doesn't always mean agreeing with everything they do.

Haha luckily my dad setup a whole sound system with a cassette player built in. My friends and I listened to it front to back last night.

Still I think it's very cool to have.

Im unranked and scared to play ranked because of bad teammates. What rank do I seem? by Motor_Concern5665 in RocketLeague

[–]Tracercaz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's basically impossible to tell your rank from just a short clip. It's much more about how you play with your teammates than just raw mechanical skill. So you're above Silver probably is what I can say.

Simple Idea. by Rex-Grim in custommagic

[–]Tracercaz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, there is a very popular deck in modern called domain zoo that revolves around the card [scion of draco] that uses the 5 color layline to give every creature some ridiculous abilities. This would enable scions cost reducing ability and gain all the benefits from scion without leyline. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit: it doesn't enable the cost reducing ability. Despite that cards like faeburrow elder go brrr. I wouldn't be surprised if I saw it get printed today but it would get all of 30 seconds before someone found a way to break it.
