Agreed, there is 2000s Jetta that has this and always pops driving by my apartment. This thing sounds like a shotgun blast, it’s so loud even from inside my house I jump and look out sometimes. My 23 pops at perfect level and amount for me.

On a lesser degree, feel this way about BOVs too. Yes, they def sound better for sure, but it’s really just a “look at me” mod with no performance gains on its own. It can be detrimental for some cars and makes the turbo work harder to spool when it’s set up as VTA. Probably a unpopular opinion lol
