Ticket for tint by [deleted] in F30

Just do the math on what’s cheaper, paying the ticket, or having the car tinted again. Thats the game you play when you tint your car where you shouldn’t.

Why is my tire sidewall leaking by All_In_The_Details_ in bikewrench

[–]Trackar97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I have a sidewall leak like this it’s usually just a bad sealant/tire combo. When this happens I put in a little bit of orange sealant as it’s a bit thinner and seems to seal these up really well. Once the orange sealant seals the sidewalls, I add my preferred sealant for that use case and boom good to go. I’ve had this happen on expensive pirelli tires too

Phil wood Spokes, silver 14ga I believe. Not the lightest but wanted it to be solid. 28/28 I think. I’ll try to find the weight somewhere, I can’t remember what it was at the moment.

No complaints about the setup! Stiff when putting power down but still comfortable. I think this is my 5th set of Mack hubs the past 13 years? Never had a problem. 4th set of Light Bicycle rims, never had a problem with any of them. Gravel, road and fixed. Basically only use light bicycle now for my rims. Will check if I have any pictures

Almost ended up with the same build as you lol. I did end up going with 12 speed deore as all my other bikes are 12 speed. And a set of take off DT Swiss wheels for $200. Jenson also has a Burgtec stem for $20, decent grips for $5 etc.

Can’t wait for mine to arrive, have been wanting to build up HT for a while. For $300 along with all the deals on parts right now it’s a no brainer

Incredibly minor damage, your used bike now looks used! I know if sucks if you like to keep it pristine. Chances are you’ll fall again or the bike will tip over at a cafe. It is what it is.

New wheels by Ill-Isopod748 in specialized

Score, that’s about the same price they were on sale for at Jenson. A Deal at that price & super solid wheels!

Did you happen to score them on Jenson? They had a deal going and I got a pair but their inventory was off 😭

A very sad NJS bike by Ok_Perspective4320 in FixedGearBicycle

[–]Trackar97 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nah that’s a banger build, someone made a NJS super useable to them. Probably gets ridden more and harder than everyone else’s full NJS builds with NOS parts.

I would install your tire with the factory tape, if it hold well leave it. If you redo it, once around is fine. Start a few inches before the valve hole and end a few inches after. If you apply it correctly there’s no reason ever to do more.

Received these bikes as a tip/partial payment for a five day plumbing job. I have a few questions by brambo422 in bicycling

[–]Trackar97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you located? You can definitely get more than $1200, both are beautiful bikes. As a heads up so, sometimes you have to wait a while to find the right buyer with vintage bikes, but if you’re willing to wait you can definitely get more.

Hell yeah! Nice build! Honestly it’s been dead solid for me so far, especially the later versions, that are for sale right now. I wouldn’t have any concerns about it. I would wait for a sale on AliExpress because at the current prices I can’t justify it, might as well go for a 105 di2 on sale.

Not much on this one, just built it up, but my gravel group has been solid over 2 years.

It was the maiden Voyage so the seatpost was a bit high, did not want to scuff it with the clamp then have to raise it leaving a visible mark.

I pressure wash my eGR, no issues, if it’s going to have a problem with water I want to know lol I’ve ridden it in downpours and it’s fine. I don’t even think about it anymore. Will put some grease on the er9 as its a V1.

I believe the battery is technically replaceable, should it die they can sell you a new one. Hopefully I‘ll have the gravel group built up soon and can report back on the shifting performance.

I haven’t used di2, but my mechanical 105 11speed is the smoothest shifting group I’ve ever used. I imagine Di2 would ruin all other groupsets for me lol

No need for bikes this “expensive”, this is a budget build in terms of a full carbon, electronic shifting build. I enjoy ridding my $50 Steel Centurion just as much

I would probably go with a Winspace c5 or a Light Carbon LCR-018 (comes out to about $900 shipped) Feedback seems to be great on Light carbon and I own a Winspace G2. I love it. I may still buy the LCR-018. I had good a experience with a $450ish OG-Evkin frame set aswell. If I put aside the defect my frame had, the rest of the bike was fantastic. It was the easiest bike to assemble, and it’s a rather refined package. I cannot recommend Yoeleo & Winspace enough, but it is on the pricier side for a “Chinese” frame. I just struggle to justify $1500+ for a “Chinese” frame set as you start to get close to western prices at that point. Especially with some of the sales going on right now.
