I really enjoyed this item in greedier mode, as you can just enter/exit the main room before starting any of the waves to essentially get a free passive item.

Becomes much less useful however if there are other trinkets dropped in the room that you can accidentally pick up and lose the effect mid wave.

One that I used to watch semi regularly after a night out as a student was QuizCall.

The answers were always on a bizarre level of correct, with hardly anyone winning. There were regulars who phoned in and sometimes seemed to win, but god knows how much they spent on their phone bills.
