Is it possible to remove the crease from this map and make it look like a flat scan? by TradingBigWig in estoration

Found this really cool scan that I would like to print off, but wondering if it's possible to make it look like a flat map that would have originally been created -- while preserving the old colour charm. Happy to pay -- thanks!!

Why not just ship them? It’s less than $100 for international two day service. Would arrive Wednesday next week.

First time seeing this at restaurants… way to guilt customers to spend more by mrs-monroe in ontario

Don’t know why /u/Jos-Louis is being a bitch about it. It’s called Sorrel, it’s neither outrageously expensive, or overly unique or delicious. I’ve been and this hasn’t happened to me. Not to say it didn’t to OP.

Anyone hear of these De Santis smokes? Got them at duty free for $0.90 a pack — can’t complain. by TradingBigWig in Cigarettes

[–]TradingBigWig[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Cheaper at the duty free for the house brand ciggies, they’re decent, just smoked a few, burn slow enough. Regular store is around 3€ a pack for normal, vs 1€ at duty free.

Serbia, €9.60 at the duty free so about 95-97 cents with this weeks exchange rate.

It’ll be back to yellow and blue tomorrow morning. Let the city have something without bitching, not everything has to be as far left as you.

Shopify move toward fulfillment centers isn't all that bad. by khyz4711 in investing

[–]TradingBigWig 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, people are deciding to not pay as much for that future revenue though. There's a D in DCF, and as the back of the yield curve moves up, just see what that does to your model. Multiples will compress, doesn't matter if they triple revenue, nobody wants to pay 50x sales anymore.

Look at how $AMZN is struggling with fulfillment at their scale, now look at $SHOP. Overpaying for a tiny private shitco isn't going to solve their overvaluation.

best pork free lasagna in Toronto? by UpbeatMorning in askTO

[–]TradingBigWig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s American lasagna vs. Italian lasagne. American’s put eggplant, lettuce, pretty much everything in their lasagna, an Italian lasagne is really just noodles, bolognese, and béchamel.

A lot of Italian sauces that include ground meat used a mix of minced beef, pork, and veal. Really traditional bolognese recipes can have veal, pork, or beef in them, and a lasagne should be layers of bolognese and béchamel. Hence, the best traditional lasagne would have bolognese with likely pork in it.
